My percentage in 12th was 50% , actually 49.5% to be precise .
Was never an academic student but was really creative . Scored AIR 111 in NIFT 2005 entrance , topped NIFT Delhi with perfect 10 CGPA .
I always believed that boards marks are just some numbers , real life is much tougher than boards marks .
The duty of school should be finding the talents of students rather than comparing the class toppers with the losers like me .
I always used to draw good , make logos , click pictures but never ever my teachers in school motivated me to pursue my career in the field of design, rather they always keep on comparing my marks with the toppers .
Thanks to god that my parents and brother never judged me on the basis of my marks . Neither let anyone bully me because of my weak maths and English .
Despite growing up in a society where only engineers and doctors are welcomed , they motivated me to make my career in design
My brother is an IIT Kanpur and IIM Lucknow alumni , state topper in 10th and 12th , NTSE holder , but he is more proud of me than himself .
All you need in your life is a supportive family .
Life was much tougher and different than what’s taught in the school syllabus .
School doesn’t teach you the accept rejections , rather they gives you almost 100% marks .
When they should start teaching how to accepts rejections , they gives you full marks in all subjects .
Once these kids come in the college and in industry , they are not ready to listen any “NO” , because school didn’t teach them .
All the students who passed 12th without giving the boards today , I have a message for you .
Please start pursuing your dream from now. It takes 5-9 years to achieve what you want. No one in the industry will ask for your 12th marks , all they will see is , if you can give your 100% or not .
Work hard , there are no free lunches in the world .
Life won’t be same , you can’t afford to be a complaining kid anymore . Push yourself , even after million rejections , don’t stop trying .
I am not an achiever like MS dhoni or Satya Nadella who can lecture on this , but I am one loser who learnt so much from the rejections that even though I secured 50% In my boards , I scored 99% in my real life .
All the best to all the 12th kids who graduated today .
For many of you who lives in other states, the festival season is over today but for the people living in Bihar it’s just the beginning.
as a kid who has grown up in Bihar, I will tell you the significance of this Puja.
In the 90s, the municipality Patna used to work only during the Chhath Puja. It was really tough to find even a single trash on the street.
For throughout the year we have hardly seen the cleanness like we used to see during the Chhath Puja.
It was also a very happy time because the crime rate used to come down to 0. For a kid from 90’s Bihar, when going out after 6 PM or 7 PM was a luxury as well as danger, it was the only time throughout the year when parents were not scared to send you out after 8 PM also.
Since I am from Bihar and lived there till my 12th , I am really keen to share my experience of the dark 90’s era.
Tajaswi might be different since he is young and energetic but his party RJD has ruined the childhood of many like me who has spent their school days in 90’s Bihar
I am talking about Patna , Forget about being rich , Bihar was not safe even for the Middle class people. Imagine a kid of class 5 fearing about being kidnapped and murdered .
If we don’t use to return home till 7pm or before getting sunset , our parents used to think that either we are kidnapped or murdered . Forget about watching a night show . For us 12-3 or 3-6 movie shows exists . There was no concept of 6-9 or 9-12 !
