ok. ur making tea in bags? no. using those strainer balls? no. listen. the tea leaves cant expand in there. no sensory experience. stop. ur getting a big ceramic tea pot. u put the leaves right in there. u can see them. notice them change. u hear them. its gonna change ur life.

ur gonna be standing in your kitchen. its 5:30 am. its dark. youre going to open up a little tin and drop 12 small leafy spheres into the teapot. they will make a soft clinking sound. when u pour the water in, the scent of jasmine will envelop u. u will see, that this is correct.

ive had this matte black teapot for 50% of my life. ive had it longer than ive known my wife. i want you to have and experience this object. actually, my wife just said its “stoneware”. i dont know what its made of. i do not seek to understand its fundamental essence (impossible)

i will tell you some of my favorite teas here:

sencha - at first i did not like this because it tasted like grass but now i like it because it tastes like grass

jasmine green tea - extremely aesthetic. you may read about how it is made. everyone likes this

assam tea - this is a very good black tea. some of it comes in little balls and then there is a more expensive kind that has more tips, you can ask about this if u are obtaining tea from a “tea guy”.

white tea is very good. these are both very easy to obtain.

more rare ones i like a lot, there is something called gyokuro that is green tea grown in the shade, basically. this one is very “watery” (sounds stupid, is difficult to describe at this hour). there is also something called green snail spring tea, the dried leaves are curly.

the color of the leaves of the green snail spring tea after you steep them is very epic. i may post about this all in more depth at some other time, i am just attempting to entice you into exploring this realm yourself, this morning (gm).

please keep in mind that if you are obtaining cheap tea that the tea plant has a special sympathy with lead that can be found in certain nations industrial badsoil, therefore you may want to research industrial tea containing lead which would persuade u to obtain good tea.

if that is the case, that is what u must obtain for some reason, the longer the tea plant is in the ground the more lead it will absorb so, if that is what u are obtaining u would want white tea (baby tea leafs) as opposed to green or black tea, black being in the ground longest
