From the White House: By the end of June, 80M doses of Covid-19 vaccine will be donated by the U.S. globally. A plan is now in place for the distribution of the first 25M doses. @CourthouseNews
Biden on the first 25M to share "At least 75% of these doses—nearly 19 million—will be shared through COVAX, including approximately 6 million doses for Latin America and the Caribbean, approximately 7 million for South and Southeast Asia, and approximately 5 million for Africa"
COVAX is the World Health Org connected vaccine accelerator program, helping improve greater access to vaccines internationally.
From the WH: "The allocation of this first tranche of donated doses reflects the desire of the United States to respond to all regions and lay the ground for increased supply and access throughout the world."
More detail on what nations will receive Covid-19 vaccines from the United States as part of the first 25M to be distributed this month:

President Biden will deliver remarks on the latest job report today around 10:15 AM ET. More later for @CourthouseNews.
We're getting the May jobs report back today. Estimates peg it at some 670K jobs added last month. Recall in April, that figure was closer to 266K, causing much consternation among those who expected it to do far better. Economists predicting the unemployment rate will dip, too.
Biden will deliver his remarks on the jobs report later his morning from Delaware before returning to Washington.
Seeking an "energy system for and by the people," Reps. @JamaalBowmanNY and @CoriBush have introduced the "Public Power Resolution," legislation that would help establish basic utility services for all while driving down fossil fuel consumption. @CourthouseNews
Here's some of what it would do: vest a "just" energy transition for public/co-op providers so they can change out existing infrastructure w/renewable energy; establish federal guidelines to keep utilities accountable, impose a universal ban on util. disconnections for nonpayment
I've officially hit my limit on reading or caring about any/all generational war stories! It is all a bunch of silliness and I would bet that if we spent less time dividing ourselves up by age groups, we might find ways to achieve common ground on matters concerning all.
I don't care about Gen Z, Y, X, old millennials, new millennials, zoomers or whatever other thing I keep seeing trending on this site week in and week out.
The jokes are tired. The subject is tired. Yawn.
Here's what I've actually learned: I know 28 year olds with more common sense, grace and dignity than 58 year olds. I've known 72 year olds with more youth and glamor than 21 year olds. I know 10 year olds that are better cooks than 35 year old men.
It is all relative.
Today, President @JoeBiden visits Tulsa, OK to participate in a remembrace ceremony honoring the lives of Black people killed by racist white mobs during an attack on 'Black Wall Street' in 1921. Cvg later 4 @CourthouseNews.

Marking the centennial of this dark day and the systemic economic oppression that persists (see: redlining, for one), the President & Veep are rolling out two initiatives to "narrow the racial wealth gap and reinvest in communities that have been left behind by failed policies"
The Biden admin plans on launching "an interagency effort" to address inequity in home appraisals and will toughen rules for housing discrimination. Disadvantaged businesses will see a boost too, the admin wants to increase fed contracting rates w/them by 50%.
.@RepDonBeyer: "Senate Republicans took political cowardice to a new level today.... Mitch McConnell admitted behind closed doors that his motivation for obstructing this measure was entirely political calculation."
Beyer's statement continued: "At a time when radical right-wing House Republicans refer to a violent attack on our democracy – which resulted in deaths and widespread injuries of police officers – as a ‘peaceful’ event akin to a ‘tourist visit,'....
Beyer: "It is ludicrous to say...we do not need a bipartisan investigation to establish the truth. If you have met with Officer Fanone or the other brave officers grievously injured protecting Congress that day, know about Officers Smith and Liebengood...
