1) The first round of @samoyedcoin #airdrops has been finished!!! We had amazing response and in just two days time we gave away around 1.6m $SAMO! 8.4m left to go!!! The @samoyedcoin community is absolutely amazing and we were so happy to see so many new join!
2) Many new people from the @solana community are now part of the #SAMOArmy! The last epoch's performance is below. This is the performance across all validators on the network. To everyone who staked tokens, thank you for staking with #GenesysGo!!!! Image

No team has contributed more to #SolanaNFTs and anyone building in the #SolanaNFT space stands on a foundation built only bc of their hardwork!

This time last year we were deep into the launch of $SHDW! 2022 was a crazy ride for #Solana, #crypto, #NFTs, and our team in general!

Tomorrow marks the bonus unlocks for the SSC NFTs that have been staked for 365 consecutive days as well.

What's next? Let's set some context.
A lot of #Solana tokens do everything they can to limit circulating value. They live in mortal fear of full dilution. Basically looking at any super high supply token.

We took a different route, $SHDW has a small total supply and we actively want to be fully diluted asap. Why?
Because this is when true discovery happens. All the hype and/or FUD is stripped away full dilution removes so many unknown factors and quantities that can only be guessed at.

So, what do you do in the case of $SHDW where there is a huge unlock coming?

Easy, you BUIDL.

Incredibly crazy sad day... A lot of people weighing if this is the next entry point.

A thought if I may... Do yourself a favor, don't think of this as an entry point. Don't listen to anyone saying now is the big opportunity.

In short... Do not deploy capital more capital lads.
The entire landscape has just shifted underneath our feet. Literally everything is different now and it has nothing to do with tokens or NFTs. It has nothing to do with how much you "love the tech" or "are in it for the community."

Think about what just happened...
We just watched as two of the most respected, visible, and largest crypto entities in existence go to war with each other. They did it publicly. They did it in broad daylight... until one of them broke and it only stopped when it looked like it might take everything with it.

$SHDW Drive was a great start for what we're doing and currently there are 3.5TB of stuff stored by #Solana developers!

Truly, this is amazing! If it seems like we've been quiet lately it's only because we're full on heads down BUIDL in preparation for @SolanaConf
Our premium #Solana RPC network (which will replace our public free RPC network) is having the finishing touches put on it.

I know we said we were shutting down the free RPC network due to #NFT royalties drying up and that is still the plan.

However...
We also don't feel good about releasing $SHDW RPC to the #Solana ecosystem and taking away an amazing free resources unless the paid services are worth it.

So, we've taken some extra time to build greater customization for our future users. What does that mean?

That moment when it all clicks into place... love to see it!
The remaining piece is making sure that #Solana files stored on $SHDW drive are...
#1: Validated via a consensus mechanism.
#2: Permanently Stored and immutable if that's what the user desires.
For #1... we already have an amazing consensus mechanism at our disposal... #Solana.
Therefore, ensuring that the uploaded data was stored correctly and hasn't been altered becomes a "simple" matter of integrating the validator network into the upload process.
As I've said before... $SHDW Drive isn't looking to reinvent the wheel here... #Solana already has a great consensus mechanism. As much as we love a good nerd quest, we love even more pushing out infra that works incredibly well.

Let's talk about timeouts/failures when submitting txn requests on #Solana.
We've started to see an increase in "infra projects" claiming that, for a fee, they'll guarantee you never get any failed or timed out txns bc you can use their private validator. Why this is a scam... 🧵

TL;DR... and let me be super clear...

YOU CAN SOLVE NEARLY ALL ISSUES WITH TXN TIMEOUTS OR FAILURES IN YOUR OWN SOFTWARE CODE FOR FREE.

Increase the the txn timeout variable to 120s in the web3.js and add retries. Move on with your day.
