These are not recent images, they were taken on 16 November 2019 during a violent riot near Beit El.

#FadiWashha #فادي_وشحة #الشهيد_فادي_وشحة were trending yesterday. We looked into Fadi Washha, here is what we could find.
Fadi Washha was a militant Palestinian terrorist, he served several prison sentences for terrorism offences.

Fadi and his cousin Muataz Washha were involved in a 25 February 2014 shooting attack. Fadi admitted to this and even surrendered the weapon used in the attack ImageImage
Fadi was affiliated to Fatah in Birzeit, here is the announcement of his release from prison on 26 February 2019 and celebration of his release by Fatah members in March of that year. ImageImage
Fadi also appear to have been a member of the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades (a designated terror org). He was dressed in military fatigue in his funeral procession and his body was carried by apparent members of the group. ImageImage
Commanders in the Palestinian National Security Forces the First Battalion SSI, and Dr. Laila Ghannam, the governor of Ramallah and al-Bireh and former member of Fatah’s leadership committee for the governorate were at his funeral. ImageImage
Here are the images from 2019.

We have seen reports of violent riots on 15 May 2021 near Beit El & police using tear gas and stun grenades. Only the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported the head injury from "live bullet" on that day. We could not verify this claim. ImageImageImageImage

Fadi Washha was a terrorist and a member of the proscribed al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades. This thread describing his death is a muddle of disinformation and propaganda. Let us explain.

@nytimes Saber Ibrahim Suleiman, an al-Qassam Brigades commander in Jabalia, was killed in an @IDF airstrike. His son Mohammad Suleiman who appears in your "They were only children" photo essay was killed along with him in the attack.

Allow us to show you something
We also discovered Facebook posts / photos showing Mohammad Suleiman in combat uniform and holding weapons.

We wonder whether @nytimes (and @DCIPalestine) were aware of this before going to print as the information was posted to Twitter on 11 May 2021.
The video is on the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades Website. Page Title:

"Journalist" CJ Werleman is biased and his translation of the video segment is inaccurate and a manipulative lie.

The question was "what happens when you meet an Arab kid, what do you feel?"

To which one Jewish kid answered: "that he wants to murder me"

We located the source video, here is what we found:

The embedded video is an edited segment from a Dana Weiss @danawt June 2016 investigative report for @N12News titled "Special Project: Jerusalem the next generation'".

The report highlighted the situation at the time in both Arab and Jewish schools.
