Biden's first judicial nominee has been confirmed.

Neals, who is 56, was originally nominated to the district court in 2015 by Obama. He was renominated (although for a different seat on the same court) by Biden this year.

Biden's second judicial nominee is due to be voted on later this afternoon. Regina Rodriguez, who is 57, was originally nominated to the district court in 2016 by Obama. She was renominated (for a different seat on the same court) by Biden this year.

Note that Trump's youngest federal district court appointee was more than 20 years younger than both of these Biden picks. (There generally are some "holdovers" like this who get re-nominated at the start of new terms, however, so these could end up being outliers, age-wise.)

This is notable and so important given the huge imbalances that Trump exacerbated — after Obama did make a strong strides to improve this. Still waiting, however, to see more nominees with professional diversity proceeding through the Senate soon as well.
