The first step to succeed in any kind of marketing is to get people’s attention like I have yours right now.

Realize that is also how buyers will react to the content you put out.
How do you get around this? People have short attention spans, how do you sell them anything?
That’s where the basics of marketing will help you.
Every marketing strategy, whether it’s door-to-door selling or online ads falls under these two categories.
1) FARMING: Building an audience & putting them in a funnel. 2) HUNTING: Talking to unknown consumers & selling them.
Hunting as you see in the name, is WILD! You have to get somewhere, sell hard and be okay with a lot of rejection.
You get buyers one day but doesn’t guarantee it the next day. The moment you stop talking to people, income pauses.
Farming 🤝 the opposite. You talk to people, offer them free value until they like you enough to buy from you.
Getting buyers today will guarantee it for tomorrow. If you own a small-business, I will suggest starting with farming. That’s what the rest of the thread will be about
Farming 101: How to Build Your Funnel
To sell any product/ service, make people know about your business and how it can help them.
You can do that by either ads OR
The free-route ➡️ Content Marketing
In content marketing, your content does the marketing not you.
It’s not about selling to people but first giving them free value.
This thread is free-value. Also, you can find people in your niche and cater to their needs. That’s why Aproko Doctor has a million+ followers!
If you are in products; Cooking/ fashion designing etc, then they may prefer visually appealing images on IG
If you are a service-based business, then videos or threads will do.
Know where your average customer spends their time, their needs & how can your content solve them!
Nurture Your Traffic
After you choose the platform, your thought will be; “How do I entertain/ educate my target customers?”
Every content you post, whether it’s a tweet, IG post or YouTube video should be about the other person.
The common variable among them is consistency.
Your Call-To-Action;
Once you do build an audience; They trust you and have received enough value from you to buy from you. Now is the time to make an ask. It’s when you add CTAs like “Click this link” to move them towards the end of the funnel.
On the other side of your link you can sell your product. But I like to provide more free value even after my content. Like I’ll do here, at the end.
If you can make your audience taste the results of your product/ service before ever buying it, then you have won.
