1) First Nations should decide who their citizens are. Even in 2021, the government decides who is First Nations and who is not to limit the # of status Indians in 🇨🇦
2) the federal government, with First Nations should start developing a 10 year plan for improvements and clear, measurable outcomes to reduce the socio-economic gaps between First Nations people and non-Indigenous people.
3) The Ministry and Department of Indigenous Affairs could/should become non-partisan and be run by Indigenous people for Indigenous people.
4) Get rid of the Indian Act. Historically, there were between 60-80 historical First Nations. The Indian Act has created over 600 reserves.

Problem with political « scandals » is that we never really get to the bottom of them. I was suspended for 2 1/2yrs without pay because Deloitte questioned $141 of expenses. False allegations are horrible on a human being. #WEscandal#SNC#SenateScandal#cdnpoli
I followed rules to the letter as it was written in black and white and was forced to pay back over $50,000. My colleague, a single mother lost her job and because she was associated with me, she couldn’t find work and had to move to the Yukon.
