Recap:
Indians gave power of governance to Sonia Gandhi led @INCIndia .

For heading the Government - she recommended the unmatched Dr. MMS, despite her party members doing a Circus to urge her to become the PM.

To guide the policy decisions of UPA govt - NAC was formed.
Sonia Gandhi roped in the best amongst us - an eclectic mix of - mix of activists, bureaucrats, economists, politicians and industrialists.
Aruna Roy,M S Swaminathan, Prof Ram Dayal Munda, Jean Drez, Anu Aga, Jaiprakash Narayan, Virginius Xaxa, Mirai Chatterjee, Narendra Jadhav
Madhav Gadgil, Harsh Mander etc etc.

The NAC recommended social benefit legislation like - RTI, RTE, FSA, MGNREGA, Land Act & ors.

The economist Prime Minister Dr. MMS - delivered a steady economic growth for over 10 years. Saved India from the 2008 global financial crisis.
Dr. MMS kept the common-man shielded from the crude oil spike.

Thr were many a wrong decisions. But the intent was to deliver all round growth, transparency and social beneficial rights based laws.

Indians were made to 'think' that they want better.

Got Modi.

Happy Sunday🤦‍♂️

The SC has delivered a 32 page interim order, mainly, on Modi's so called Liberalized Vaccination Policy & held that :
the policy for the persons between 18-44 years is, prima facie, arbitrary and irrational.

This thread is a compilation of SC's observations:
We find that the submissions
urged by the Amici are extremely pertinent and have indicated that in practice, the
Liberalized Vaccination Policy may not be able to yield the desired results of spurring
competitive prices and higher quantities of vaccines.
Whether Central Govt conducted a “means-test” of the demographic of a State/UT to assert that 50% of the population in the 18-44
age group would be able to afford the vaccine. If not, the rationale for pvt hospitals being provided an equal quota for procurement as the State/UT

It's beyond an iota of doubt that Modi Administration has failed the nation. In a manner most ghastly and cruel.

As a people living in a democracy - what are our options ?
1. Vote him out in 2024 parliamentary elections.
But that's plain lazy form of democracy.
2. Put him to scrutiny of the parliament - but, the parliament isn't even functioning. Even if it does, the outcome wouldn't be beyond ugly acrimony and mud-slinging. Modi being in control of the mass-media - the muck thrown by him may stick, eventually.
3. Constitution of a JPC - but, having brute parliamentary majority, the JPC may not serve the intended purpose of putting the #Movid_21 under scrutiny.

4. The media reporting the man made catastrophe that's unfolding - but, Modi / RSS controls the mass media.

What is the urgency, Counsel ?? Asked the HC in a matter where the accused in jail since October 2020. Chargesheet is filed in Feb 2021. Waiting for a hearing of bail application since March 2021. In an offense that's clearly an afterthought & perverse. Against settled law.
I effing traveled 300 kms, despite the virus risk, (though the hearing was virtual, the 1000+ page chargesheet & application were at Mumbai office), the young man of 32 years is behind the bars for 6 months where even 1 day jail is unwarranted & unjustified.
And, just like that ....just like that ...the Hon'ble Judge says : what's the urgency. Ask his wife. Ask his failing health in the dungeon that's Arthur Road jail. Ask his pre-teen kids. Ask his ailing & elderly father-in-law, who ultimately passed away. Try asking them.

My observations on today's Delhi HC hearing on oxygen scarcity in Delhi:
1. The scarcity is due to mismanagement & lack of co-ordination between Delhi govt, Center & oxygen supply chain stakeholders.
2. It's an abject failure of governance on the part of @ArvindKejriwal admin
3. Some re-fillers like Seth & Vinayak have been excluded from the supply chain & they seem to indulging in black-marketing.High Court has sought an Affidavit.
4. Kejriwal Administration has been found wanting on - a plan, a process, control-room, Empowered Officers etc
5. Kejriwal Admin has taken lessons from Yogi Admin in passing absurd orders. This time - threatening the hospitals. The HC took strong objection to it.
6. The HC is deeply pained by deaths due to lack of oxygen & directed Delhi Govt to give it a list so as to order compensation

#Context
Everyone above the age of 18 will be eligible for the #COVID19 vaccine from May 1 - Govt
Media:
1. Big decision of Modi Govt. Vaccines for all.
IT Cell:
Hail Modi.
Opposition:
Thank u Harshwardhan / Modi etc.
Congress:
Look. RaGa & Dr. MMS said this. Govt agreed.Yaay.
1. Neither @RahulGandhi nor Dr. MMS suggested that people should be made to pay for the vaccines.
2. Now, the Govt has abdicated the responsibility to vaccinate those below 45.
3. We on Twitter can afford it. And, have access to it. 50% Indians wouldn't hv access or afford
4. The prices are yet to be fixed. Irrespective, we know that Rs.850/- Remdesivir injections are being sold @ Rs. 10000 - 12000/- . And the most vulnerable and marginalized are being forced to buy. [Refer to @sohitmishra99 's stories from Nashik etc]
5. We don't have the numbers:

So @svaradarajan listed out some of Modi's blunders in today's edition of @TheIndiaCable .
I'm reproducing it here:
1.The delayed realisation that this was a disease that needed to be taken seriously because the priority mid-March 2020 was toppling the Congress government in MP
2. The sudden lockdown, announced with no planning or consultation with official stakeholders.

3. The assault on the media instead of getting the administration to plug the shortcomings that journalists were highlighting.

4. The communalisation of the pandemic.
5. False bravado in claiming India was doing better than others, which played a major role in the public lowering its guard.

6. Touting fake technological solutions like Aarogya Setu. Promoting bogus ‘AYUSH’ remedies, especially those produced by businessmen close to BJP
