THREAD (Please share)
20 years ago one of the most shameful moments in UN history occurred. The Durban Conference was held in South Africa under UN auspices and was meant to help defeat global racism.

In reality, it achieved the exact opposite!
The antisemitism of the original Durban Conf. gave birth to a whole new level of Jew hate not seen since the Nazis of WWII. A draft document that equated 'Zionism with racism' was only the start
The original Durban Conference was a farce but a farce that would have lasting implications for the Jewish state and for Jews around the world!

20 years ago, the Durban Conference did not stop racism, it increased it
Out of this utter madness, the evil @bdsmovement was spawned! The antisemites saw an opportunity to take their hate of the Jewish state to a whole new level and they grabbed it with both hands.

Now disguised as 'anti-Zionism,' Durban allowed the hate to spread
Fast forward to the 10th 'anniversary' of this evil event. So widely accepted was it that the original Durban Conf. was so intrinsically linked to antisemitism that the then PM David Cameron made the decision that the UK should have nothing further to do with it
He, quite rightly, refused to take part in the anniversary & pulled all UK representation saying:
"Ten years ago, the World Conference on Racism saw open displays of unpleasant and deplorable antisemitism. It would be wrong to commemorate those displays."

Fast forward again to today and to the proposed 20th-anniversary celebration of the original Durban conference ... Durban IV

The US, Canada & Australia have taken the decision, as they did 10 years ago to have nothing to do with this celebration of Jew-hate
The US made it clear:
“The United States will not attend or participate in any events commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Durban Declaration and Program of Action or the World Conference on Racism, which preceded it....
.....Furthermore, the United States stands with Israel and has always shared its concerns over the Durban process’s anti-Israel sentiment, use as a forum for antisemitism and freedom of expression issues.”

So what of the UK?

Here, antisemitism is still on the rise. 'Anti-Zionists' roam our streets seemingly with impunity shouting abuse from cars and attacking Rabbi's

The BDS and its British evil step-sister the @PSCupdates continue to corrupt young minds on campuses & schools
Why has our PM @BorisJohnson - a self-confessed friend of Israel and our community - not done as his predecessor did and announced clearly and unequivocally that the UK wants nothing to do with this grotesque celebration?
The answer is; I don't know!

Why are we even being forced to compile this thread.?

The precedent is clear. The reasoning for withdrawing from #DurbanIV is plain to see.

Right now, today, our community needs our friends to show them that friendship is not just words
So we say this to @BorisJohnson and @DominicRaab; what is that you are waiting for?

In two days the final planning meeting for Durban IV will take place. As it stands the UK will be part of this disgusting charade.
PM, FS, we ask you to stand with #Israel, to stand with our community, to stand with the US, with Australia, and with Canada, and say #NoUKAtDurbanIV!

#DurbanlVTargetsJews
#NoToDurbanIVJewhate

Some important information has just been brought to my attention regarding the proposed march in Luton tomorrow and the warning given for Jews to consider venturing into Luton
1/
The 'march' is now no longer a march. Under the advice of Bedfordshire police, the event will now be static with NO convoy of cars expected.

This event had nothing to do with Luton Council of Mosques but has been organised by a local group with no affiliations to the LCM
2/
It seems that the shul in question (LUS) might have either got the wrong end of the stick or had not been fully briefed. They have contacted LCM to apologise for the misunderstanding

This is a great headline @SkyNews, shame it’s not entirely true.
When he was asked directly if Israel has a right to exist he said “No...why, why”

Yes he says ‘ceasefire will hold for now’ but I’ve watched it twice and I can’t see where he says what headline suggests.
He clearly refuses any possibility of a 2SS.

He is asked ‘if he would share the land with Israeli Jews?”

Mumbles some non-answer

His peace doesn’t involve ‘justice for Palestinians’ as per your headline

Simply put, his ‘peace’ means the destruction of Israel.
Here's the full video. Please watch it and tell me where he says "Israel-Hamas ceasefire will hold for now but no peace with Israel without justice for Palestinians?"

Just getting back from today’s #SolidarityWithIsrael rally. Such a wonderful atmosphere with all the speakers talking of peace.

The total opposite of yesterday’s ‘hate fest’.

Yes, we might be smaller in numbers but when it comes to message, there’s no comparison
Huge thanks to Dalia, Steve, Paul at @ZionistFed for a remarkable effort. To all the speakers including @TzipiHotovely, @jonnysgoldstein, @BoDPres thank you. Your messages of peace and tolerance where heard loud and clear.
To all those that came to stand with us today, Jew and not, you showed that Israel still has many friends and we will not be bullied into silence. Your voices were heard today. You should all be very proud of yourselves

Oh my. @bbcnews have just sunk to a new all time low with their report on Bethlehem. Why is it @bbclysedoucet that Christians are fleeing the area? You seem to have forgotten to mention that Christians are being persecuted by the PA, I can’t imagine why you omitted that?
As for the ‘Israelis call it a security barrier’ @bbclysedoucet, IT IS a security barrier! It has saved countless lives. Without it you’d be reporting on dead children blown up by suicide bombers.
Once again you totally fail to recognise nor inform your viewers that the ONLY place in the entire region where people of all faiths can practice their religion freely and openly is Israel. Shame on the lot of you.

A very personal thread but just feels like the time to say it

8 years ago when I first got heavily involved in pro-Israel advocacy following the antisemitic attacks on a local Israeli owned shop, I was often asked a single question
“Why don’t you you just go and live in Israel?”

My answer was always that I would go when I choose to not because I feel like I’ve been forced to.
I stand by that but recently it is becoming harder to believe that some time soon I might not be forced to leave.

Yesterday I saw a thread from @Real_M_Scott in which he had come to the hard decision that for the sake of his family he felt his only option was to leave the U.K.

THREAD!
The people of Peterborough (with considerable help from a larger number of MPs, many of whom we considered friends!) have just elected a highly divisive antisemite to represent them in Parliament. They didn’t do it without being fully aware of Forbes ramblings.
They must have been fully aware that Ms Forbes ‘liked’ a post claiming that Theresa May had a ‘Zionist Slave Master agenda’.

Enough people voted for Ms Forbes in the full understanding that she had ‘enjoyed’ reading a thread which claimed ISIS was created by the CIA and Mossad
The people of Peterborough decided voting for a woman who signed a letter that called on her bosses to REJECT the international recognised definition of antisemitism was absolutely fine.
