Somedays, I just feel like crying .. that man is so vile, they are so disgusting with their dirty politics, how can normal people who are not recognized, don't have PHD's behind their name, ever hope to have a voice, when they have the financial incentive to completely erase us.
Are there any traditional elders left to speak up for the forgotten?😢 I read that collective, so basically unless you are status & recognized, you do not get a voice, you do not get to re-claim & so many have been in that same position and as soon as they get in a position of
power they seek to further stamp us out. When you have family who has intermarried and throughout history has worked together to protect each other , how does that get turned around to being pretendian and fetis? These stories, oral histories are real. Some might not know them
and a few might not have them, does that mean everyone gets swept all under the same rug? I am not a PHD, I am not trained in Aboriginal "Code" words, so I might not be saying this correctly, I hope my meaning is clear, why do they hate us so much? 😢💔 My ancestors had the same
trauma's, I look white, my nan and my great nan, were identifiable as native to look at them, that is not back in the 1600's. My GG I knew a few stories but most of it was hidden and my nan had just started opening up about her histories when she died. So that is it, I am just
supposed to let those ancestors go? I am not supposed to find justice in 2021 for my family having to hide who they were, because some Doctorate who doesn't know me or my family and I am betting is not traditional in any sense of their nation, says so?
I am connected to this land in so many ways. I can live off this land if I had to. I know how to hunt, fish, process a carcass, I want to protect it, against oil and mining. I love this earth. I am just one tiny insignificant voice of many. Why do they want to erase me? I don't
know Indigenous protocol, I never grew up in it, I never pretend I do. You don't see me, trying to sell anything, product or wisdom because I realize that I don't that. but I know lots of status people who don't know it either. They are still of their nation. You don't see me
dressed in buckskin or feathers, making drums, trying to be someone I am not. This is reconciliation from Canada and AFN? It sure seems it & feels like it, from the territory I am standing on. Territory my family has been on before Canada was Canada. Territory that my family
signed Peace & Friendship treaties with the British and I get told by others of the Mi'kmaw Nation that I don't get to claim my own family, that I am a nobody. ughh, I just can't tonight, my heart feels like it is shattering into a million pieces & nothing I say or do matters. 🥺

@StClairCollege us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regist… These webinar done for your college, seems to have comments turned off so no one can make dissenting comments. That is censorship at it's finest.
