@mike_salter@KaMaZhe I'm writing this as someone who is centre-left: QAnon came in handy for many Dem supporters, because they could you use it to debunk all possible connections of the Dem establishment to organised sex/rape trafficking (see Epstein) as "conspiracy theory". To this day, the FBI /1..
@mike_salter@KaMaZhe hasn't charged anybody who raped the teenagers, except for Epstein's alleged accomplice G. Maxwell, although they found a large amount of footage documenting the organised sexual exploitation in Epstein's NY mansion, and it would be easy to charge the wealthy men who were the /2
@mike_salter@KaMaZhe perpetrators. Those who travelled to Epstein's island (as can be established due to the tiny part of the flight lists that have been published), mainly belong to the liberal elite, but almost nobody in these circles seems to bother. All inquires can be shut down by referring /3
@mike_salter@KaMaZhe to the "QAnon nutbags" who were "investigating" this organised child abuse. For Trump supporters, on the other hand, it was a good opportunity to deflect from his own failure, to paint him as a saviour, and to introduce the thought that only the "evil Dems" are raping /4
@mike_salter@KaMaZhe trafficked children. -- When researching organised child abuse thoroughly, we invariably come to a point, sometimes, were we have to talk about topic that -some would like to debunk and dismiss as "conspiracy theory"; see f.i. the involvement of intellligence agencies, or the /5
@mike_salter@KaMaZhe overlapping of organised child abuse, political corruption and transnational organised crime. We need to resist abstaining from certain parts of research, only because we fear we might be called "conspiracy theorists", by those who are too lazy, to afraid, or to incredulous to 6/
@mike_salter@KaMaZhe look deeper, or who are involved in the crimes themselves, and use their political, academic and media influence to deflect from it. We should continue to point out the networks of organised abuse, and should also not shun topics like ritual abuse. /7
@mike_salter@KaMaZhe Researchers like you, and journalists like @jkbjournalist, who played a vital part in spreading information about the Epstein organised abuse, are equipped with the ability to do this. But you and all of us who have been campaigning against sexulized violence need the support /8
@mike_salter@KaMaZhe@jkbjournalist of other academics, the wider public, the media, and politicians, who must develop the ability to distinguish
between (often painful) facts, and deflection, especially delflection campaigns - like QAnon. /fin
@Docstockk In Germany, there is a new law (June 2020), which bans anti-gay conversion therapy for gay and lesbian kids, but explicitly allows [!] pro-trans conversion therapy.
Every counsellor who doesn't use a 100% affirmative approach will end in prison.
@Docstockk I am going to translate the law tonight, and will link it up here.
