An interesting historical factoid. Field Marshal Burkhard Christoph von Münnich (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burkhard_… ) was Russia’s greatest military commander before Suvorov, he reformed the Russian army, turning it into a powerful modern force and achieved Russia’s first great victory over
the Turks at Stavuchany in 1739 - a victory whose psychological significance was much greater than political one. He was also a brilliant engineer, responsible for the Ladoga canal. For backing the wrong side in the power struggle that followed the death of boy tsar Peter II he
was exiled for 20 years to Siberia by Empress Elisabeth (he was actually sentenced to death, under completely false and trumped up charges but had his life commuted on the scaffold, as Elisabeth, who was very religious, had sworn never to execute anyone during her reign, though
it didn’t stop her inflicting punishments that some might have considered worse than death …). In his 20 years in exile Münnich kept himself in such an excellent health than when recalled and reinstated by Peter III at the age of 78, he astonished the court by his vigor and
strength. He tried to prevent Peter’s overthrow by his wife Catherine III by advising him to flee to the Russian troops at that time in Prussia and offering to lead them in person against the rebellious Guards, but Peter did not have the character for this sort of thing.
Münnich then expected to be treated in the same way by victorious Catherine II (the Great) as he was treated by Elisabeth for supporting her imperial rival Anna Leopoldovna, but Catherine after asking him “So, you raised your sword against me” and hearing his answer “yes, but now
that you are legitimate Empress I am ready to raise him for you”, appointed him as director general of all her Baltic ports.
To Münnich is attributed a quote, which supposedly says that “Russia, unlike other states, is governed by God Himself, otherwise it would not exist”. This
was actually mentioned by Putin. But in reality this was never said by Münnich but by his Burkhard Christoph von Münnich but by his son Ernst Johann von Münnich, and the meaning was ironic: “Russia must be governed directly by God himself, otherwise it’s impossible to explain
how it still survives”.

A interesting article in Novaya Gazeta. Patients in Russia who come to clinics to be vaccinated with Suputnik V (which is also called GamCovidVac) are actually vaccinated with Vector's EpiVacCorona, about which there are no data but Western experts

novayagazeta.ru/articles/2021/…
believe it to have poor efficacy. In fact, one patient was offered a choice between Sputnik V and Chumakov Institute's CoviVac (which actually is not officially available as the tests have not finished) but actually received EpiVacCorona (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EpiVacCor… ) and a
and a certificate of vaccination with GamCovidVac (Sputnik). However, she also received a phone message with information that she had been vaccinated with EpiVacCorona. When she went back to see the chief doctor, the doctor would not say anything. There are many other people

The day before yesterday there was on Ekho Moskvy the much awaited confrontation between the historian (and aviation engineer) Mark Solonin and two Poles, the astrophysicist Paweł Artymowicz and retired military airforce pilot Marek Ciszewski, on the subject of the 2010 crash
killed Poland's president Lech Kaczyński and a great many members political, military and cultural elite (mostly from the political right). Let me remind you that Mark Solonin recored several videos in which he supported the analysis of an anonymous Russian or group of Russians
published on the Internet under the pseudonym Flanker20 and also a second Polish report of the so called Macierewicz Commission (this report, by the way, was supported by @20committee , see the article

Tomorrow there will be a debate on Ekho Moskvy on the question of the 2010 crash of the plane carrying Poland’s President Lech Kaczyński and much of Poland’s political, military elite at Smoleńsk, in which the crew and all passengers were killed. The debate will be between Mark
Solonin and these two Polish experts Artymowicz and Ciszewski. Recall that after his YouTube video’s in which, based mostly on an analysis by an anonymous Russian or Russians writing under the pseudonym Flanker20 and also (but to a lesser extent) by the Commission set up by
Poland’s former Defence Minister Macierewicz, Solonin claimed that the most likely explanation for the crash was that it was caused by a bomb and that all actions by Russia’s ground personnel and Russian authorities suggested a planned assassination and an attempt to make it

Edward Radzinskyposted his first video in a series “The Romanovs - the last puzzle. Yurovsky’s note”.

This is only an introduction but it is so fascinating, so full of wisdom and so relevant to the current situation in Russia that I could not help myself
decided to translate essentially the whole thing. However, this time I decided that instead of writing another Twitter thread of crazy length I could make a pdf file and put it on my google drive and post a link here. So here is the link
to the pdf file.
drive.google.com/file/d/1dCq6MU…

I did the translation while listening to YouTube so there are many imperfections. For a start, Radzinsky talks and does not read from a written text so you don't get well formed complete sentences and I was translating while

Thera are probably mote Sputnik enthusiasts in Slovakia than in Russia
itself. I’m fact, not only did Putin himself refuse his vaccination to be shown publicly in any form but his spokesman refused to say which vaccine was used. The question why is quite interesting. One thing
we know it was not Sputnik Lite (which is just the first dose of Sputnik masquerading as an independent single dose vaccine), not the EpiVac Corona of the Vector Research Center (the former military biowarfare lab, infamous for accidents in which some of its scientists & at least
100 persons died & which probably caused the 1977 worldwide Russian flu pandemic), because that is also a single dose vaccine & certainly not the Chumakov Center’s Covivac, which was not yet in use when Putin got his first dose. So if it was a Russian vaccine, it must have been

I promised earlier to translate most of Alexei Sobchenko, Victor Suvorov and Mark Solonin talk on what happened on the 13th of June 1941. It will take several threads and I am not sure when I will finish but today seems to be a good time to start.
Sobchenko: The subject of our meeting is the 13 June 1941. Victor Suvorov, please explain why we are discussing the 14 of June and not 19th or 14th.
Suvorov: Under Stalin the history of WWII was not written.
The war ends, all archives get closed, and the war is presented as a collection of certain heroic deeds, how 28 Panfilov’s Guardsmen stopped, at first they stopped, at first they wanted, if 28 then it means 56 tanks but the chief editor of “Red Star” got rid of 2 tanks,
