Al-Kindi, a celebrated so called "Muslim" polymath said in 9th cen:
"Show me any proof or sign of a wonderful work done by your master Muhammad, to certify his mission, and to prove what he did in slaughter and rapine was, like the other, by Divine command."
One whom they celebrates as the first Islamic peripatetic philosophers, had questioned the foundations of Islam itself.
He further said:
"The result of all of this is patent to you who have read the scriptures and see how, in your book, histories are all jumbled together...
...& intermingled;an evidence that many different hands have been at work therein, & caused discrepancies, adding or cutting out whatever they liked or disliked. Are such, now, the conditions of a revelation sent down from heaven?"
Al Kindi had ripped the idea of Holiness of Qur'an
As stated by Ajaz. I’m wrong here. It’s Christian Al-Kindy not Muslim philosopher Al-Kindi!
Also this must be noted that if you refer the writings of Al-Biruni directly, Arabic Miles= 1.225947 English Miles.

What I have been personally able to analyse about Gandhi that his prescription for Hindus were highly genocide oriented in nature although these actions of past also tells: Gandhi never expected Muslims to improve, he saw scope only in Hindus.
In quest to crit Gandhi we have given a lots of clean chit to Congress. There were many statements which were publicised by congress as being of Gandhi which he actually never said.
1634, Thomas Herbert described a "pretty old castle of Ramachand" which he described as an antique monument that was "especially memorable".
Flinch & Herbert make the case for a Mandir with reference to the castle.
1672, the appearance of a mosque at the site can be inferred because Lal Das's Awadh-Vilasa describes the location of birthplace without mentioning a temple.
So between 1634-72 the Mandir has gone & Mosque has appeared.
