Bollywood has been flogging a dead horse called ‘Love between common people of India and Pakistan’ for far too long now. It stopped making sense but Bollywood refuses to grow up, as expected from an innovation devoid setup.
People who suffered the pain of
partition, always had some fine memories about their native places. My grandparents included. It’s expected that the stories, literature, music etc had a tone and tinge of pain of this separation from friends and in many cases families too. Memories haunt and their pangs were
pretty obvious when they spoke about the pre partition era, when everyone was focused on throwing the British away. When that generation ruled Bollywood, such themes made sense because there was a connect and desire for that story telling.
The next generation grew up having
seen the 65 and 71 wars and aggression from Pakistan. However they still couldn’t shake away the impressions and fables that their parents had told them all their lives about Pak. This generation of Bollywood too continued on same lines like before, but the perception level
had gone down from ‘ oh I miss my friends in Lahore’ to ‘ People love each other, it’s the governments that fight’. Also there was no way to know if this feeling was reciprocated from other side too. The over justification from our own side ensured that the common man on other
side was always viewed as a long lost brother dying to engulf you in his arms.
Then came our generation that saw Punjab, Kashmir, Mumbai attacks, Kargil, bomb blasts and what not. Pakistan’s nefarious plans were exposed to all and slowly with privatisation of media, the
information flow was more aggressive and available. The generation understood Pakistan well enough, as an entity which is ready to go to any lengths to destroy India. However, the common man on other side was still a mystery and shrouded in a fragrant mist of image carried
on since 1947 by THAT generation and Bollywood’s creations.
Then came internet and the generation that has stretched the www to its extremes using every possible app. Common man was connected to common man. And the truth was laid bare. The vitriol flowing from across the border
on all platforms, from all ages and genders, from students to journalists, from ministers to cricketers; is eye opening and true revelation of the white hot hate for India that’s oozing at every discussion amongst people from two sides.
While I’ve always respected the opinions
of my grandparents and millions of other elders who’ve suffered the agony of partition, it’s time to put this old tale to rest.
And more importantly, the OTTs and Bollywood should stop throwing these misleading and servile version of reality. There’s no one waiting there to
hug Indians if borders were open. Yes, there might be some but majority of population hates us. They take it out on minorities there. They show it at international forums. They prove it by sending endless terrorists into India. Their reason for existence has become destruction
of India.
Till the time we keep accepting these fantasies thrown at us from a morally corrupt and highly unimaginative bunch called Bollywood, people will continue to live in delusions and we will never be ready to deal with issues the way we should. Boycotting any such
movie or series would be a good step to send a message that No, you can’t make us feel better with this allegory of suppressed love, while thousands of soldiers n civilians have been killed by Pakistan.
We can choose to live in reality, or keep crying living in fantasies!

I think some thoughts need to be penned down in honor of this legendary weapon.
Specifications : Mostly rubber made. But versions of plastic have been found too. Impact on enemy has been same though.
Versions : Mostly Indian. But foreign made
have also been found to penetrate the battle field with equal competency.
Employability : a weapon of varied qualities and usages, it has significantly found its employability in following roles - 1. Anti Shrieking Kids Homing Missile - The moment a kid starts to cry loudly/
throw tantrums/ shriek etc, the weapon is armed by Mothers and once launched follows a perfect straight line to target. The impact is significant and immediate.
2. Hand Held Close Combat Children Improving Role : Often deployed by angry mothers, against children not studying,
Clubhouse is now looks like flight from Delhi to New York.
The Business class rooms are filled with NRIs speaking in accented Hindi and English trying to tell the cabin crew how much they love India, it’s culture and vibrancy while displaying their US passports, which they’ll
obviously never give up.
The premium economy are huge families traveling together where everyone is busy shouting over each other on what to do and how to do and how they’ve done it. Basically the ‘intellectuals’ of LW and RW and their echo chambers each applauding each
other.
The economy class is full of commoners who keep struggling to shift seats to get better leg space and room, only to realise almost all seats are same. So people who keep shuttling from room to room in hope of being acknowledged and getting invited to speak and show they
What’s in a name : A Lot !
Where did Spanish Flu originate - Not Spain !
Most probably China. First known case USA.
China, by coercion, cajoling, playing victim card, labelling others as racist, intimidation, paying media etc has managed to shake off ‘China - virus’ tag. On
the other hand, the propaganda to start labelling it as ‘Indian Variant’ in on full swing. News reports across the world have started to call it that, and the blame can directly be put on our own, who have happily propagated this nomenclature. Those who say “what’s the big deal”
fail to understand how our future generations, who have not lived through this and will not be aware of reality, continue to hear and say this as ‘Indian Virus/Strain’. A virus can mutate, anywhere. No one has control over it. Whereas not letting the world know of a possible
Hamas apparently is hoping to overwhelm and saturate #IronDome’s capabilities to intercept and then have a free run for rocket attacks on Israel. 1. Iron dome is meant to intercept small range rockets falling over vital territories. It does not intercept every rocket. The high
quality sensor package with ID picks the the trajectory of rockers coming in and calculates the impact zone. If it isn’t falling over some vital / critical/ inhabited area, ID will not take action. 2. Once the trajectory is identified, and is considered as a valid threat, the ID
will launch an intercepting missile that aims for the incoming rocket. The beauty of this system is that it does not hit the incoming rocket but blasts close to it / them to take out the warhead of the incoming rocket. If it were to hit it and damage only the rear/ motor section,
Sir, I generally don’t get into these debates, but since you’ve broached the topic, I’ll definitely submit my two paise. 1. I filled Hindu in the form because the SSB asked for it. I didn’t go there wearing bhagwa and shouting from rooftops that I’m a Hindu. There’s a difference
between proving identity versus feigning supremacy. 2. I’m a proud Hindu. Just like @SinghNavdeep Sir is a proud Sikh and my coursemate Maj Salman Khan, SC (P) was a proud Muslim and another course-mate who is leading COVID support via air transport is a proud Christian. The
thing that makes us ( Defense personnel )different from others is the day you don your uniforms, there is only one religion to follow and that’s called ‘India’ and one flag to salute above all and that is ‘Tiranga’. That’s the code we live and die by. The only enemy is enemy of
I saw a post today that spoke about how determination and will power can help fight COVID. Prompted me to share my personal experience. Though I’m not much of a sharing person, but I do think that it might help someone get motivated and not give up easily.
Sep 2019, I went to
Russia as part of Indian delegation at BRICS summit in Ufa. Post the summit, we had some meetings for few days in Moscow and then had to come back. On the day of return flight, during immigration I started to feel funny in my face and started to lose balance. I didn’t want to
sit or fall during immigration and security, coz that’s the worst idea for a brown guy, so somehow I crossed it. The moment I exited, I could barely walk coz I kept falling towards one side and right side of my face started drooping. I realised something is majorly wrong so I
