PURI, one of the Char Dham of Sanatan Dharma is also known as SANKHA KHESTRA.Sankha means conch shell. According to Puranas, the geographical shape of sacred sections of Puri Dham is resembles a right oriented
conch shell,
the ‘DakshinavartaSankha’.
Sri Jagannath resides in the Navi (Centre ) of the Sankha.
The land of Sri Jagannath Odisha is divided into four kshetras. These kshetras are named after the four Ayudhas of Bhagwan Vishnu such as sankha (conch shell), Chakra (disc), Gada (mace) & Padma (lotus).
Puri Dham is known as SankhaKshetra. Bhubaneswar is Chakra Kshetra, Jajpura is GadaKshetra, and Konark is Padma Kshetra.

Meet Padma Shri Dr. Haldhar Nag popularly known as "Loka Kabi Ratna". He has a amazig journery full of struggle and success from a Small Village of BARGARH, Odisha to one of the highest award PADMA SHRI.

High qualifications are not the measure of a person's intelligence.
66yrs old Shri Haldhar Nag is best example of that.
He is a poet & his poems are written in Kosli (also known as Sambalpuri & is the language of western Odisha).he known for prolific memory. He remembers whatever he writes.Five research scholars have based their PhD theses on him
was born in a poor family of Ghens in Bargarh district of Odisha. At a very small age,he lost his father ,who was only earning person of the family. He was forced to drop out after Std.III & work as a dishwasher at a local shop.
Even with all these odd he made a wonderful journey

The Vimana of Brihadisvara Temple of Tanjore is an Archrtectural Wonder as the 43,000 tons of granaite stone held together by dry masonary raiesd to a height of 60.96m.

It is the tallest Vimana in Bharata,is topped by a 80 ton monolitic granaite top stone.
This 80 ton square granite slab of 25.6×25.6 ft is believed to have been hauled up by 6 km ramp.
The vimana is crowned with a copper pot or Kalasa plated with 24 kg of pure Gold.

Narmadeshwar Shiva Linga- found in the bed of the Narmada river in India which flows in the states of Madhya Pradesh. This linga is called 'Banaling',an iconic symbol of worship.Banalinga is also called the Svayambhu Linga as it is discovered in nature & not carved or
