Short thread.

This piece gets A LOT right. It fails by quoting "Spy Talk" who attempts to play this down likely bc they are mostly Queen's Creek Rowing Club, and thus rubbed wrong by DIA having this high value defector. Everyone wants him.
This defection is a generational intelligence event on the same scale as the discovery of Burgess, Philby, McLean, et al. or the Rosenbergs. Playing this down is an attempt to move on the target in some way, and nothing related to the truth of who Dong is or What he knows.
Also, the laundry list of talking points about what he has revealed:
Biden Business
COVID
Hunter Laptop
Etc

Reads like a Republican and right wing dream. This isnt to say he couldnt have this information. Just that it is extremely curious.
He is a Counter Intel Boss, so a Spy Catcher. He likely wouldnt be working on COVID, or COVID related Science, Military, funding, etc. That's specifically other arms of the CCP's job.
But that also doesnt discount that those at the top dont share information. That happens ALL the time. It is likely he and other members of leadership play by the time honored tradition of "rules are for little folks".
If so, he could have SOME information related to all of those various talking points. Comprehensive info, No. But grand details our Govt doesnt know, Yes! And just to show that this is ever evolving and a true cay and mouse spy thriller playing out in real time...
The South China Morning Post published an article stating he is still in China, and warning against counter intel operations. How fun!

The content of the 1st half of the article aside, the claim they dont have him isnt what I am reading into. The last, idk 40% of the article reads in a rather ridiculous manner.
Theyre writing to convince themselves as much as they are writing to convince you and I the reader. They spend the entire time grasping at straws as to why they got the super secret scoop no one else did, but offer no reasonable explanation, and the say 'thats it all over.'

This is the fundamental misunderstanding professional market analysts are making on this. They dont have to force anyone to sell. They just have to buy enough new homes for 10 or 20 years that it becomes exceedingly difficult for new buyers to enter the market. It's a long play.
They don't need to court people who will be 50-70yrs old and home owners in 2030, 2040. They'll have stymied enough of those under 30 from building enough wealth to be capable of buying a home. They'll need 120k or 150k down just to compete. And they wont have it.
With 10-20 years of this you'll see a perceptual shift in these future generations. Owning a home wont have been a wealth generating tool for a decade or more. They wont even see it that way. So the impetus to own a home wont be there the way it was 20 years ago or even today.

The govt claims that just because they downloaded it to your device doesnt mean its turned on.

"The presence of this app on the phone does not indicate that MassNotify has been enabled, and MassNotify is not automatically activated."
Users seem to be saying otherwise.

-95% of GOP voted Trump.
-He did exceptionally well with rural & suburban working class voters
-He earned highest share of minority votes of any GOP in modern history (since 1960)
-Trump grew A.A. voter support
-Biden A.A. support was lower than any winning Dem has had
-Trump greatly increased share of national hispanic vote
-Biden saw greater decrease in hispanic vote than any Dem Pres. candidate, so much so that it was arithmatically impossible for him to win AZ, NM, NV
-Trump dominated bellweathers
-FL, IO, OH all went huge for Trump defying pollsters
-no one lost the Pres. And won those states since 1850's
-Rust belt went Trump, outside of a few cities, yet Biden lost traditional Dem minority support in these areas

In 1991 when 15 states peacefully seceded from the Soviet Union, we saw the greatest peaceful revolution in modern history. This altered thought in Europe, and unlike their American counterparts of the time, this undermined the grip central governments had on Europeans.
All over the question of Secession popped up.

Quebec nearly seceded in 1995
Scotland nearly seceded in 2014
Britian seceded from the European Union in 2016
Catalonia had a vote to secede from Spain in 2017
Veneto and Lombadry voted to secede from Italy in 2017
What makes European people so different from their American counterparts that they are willing to exercise the right to self government, and yet we "freedom lovers" are so obstinate to the idea? What care do I have how the people of Chicago govern themselves? Of California?
