THREAD
1) we are a society of self-absorbed, narcissist robot-children. We do not value family. We do not venerate old age. We either reject children or we treat them as cute appendages, like white poodles on a leash. We do not save or plan for the future and we forget the past

2) We think the past is just a boring regurgitation of phrases from history books. The words "communism" and "fascism" have no meaning and hold no threat or dread. We won't watch foreign movies because we can't concentrate on reading subtitles.

3) In the meantime, 40-year-olds zoom down our streets on skateboards, on their way to mom's basement to play video games. The past has nothing to teach us, the future is irrelevant and the present is boring. But we can alleviate our boredom by taking selfies

4) preening on social media and extol the virtues of "self-love" (back in the day that meant masturbation but now it's just a school of thought that values "feeling good about yourself" above everything else) Of course it's vacuous - you can only feel good about yourself

5) based on merit and achievement, not based on 30 minutes of meditation and repeating self-praising slogans. Now we have taken our hate of children to a new level: we believe it's ok to experiment with their health, deprive them of education and social contact

5) all in the name of protecting OURSELVES from a respiratory virus. This horrifying moral lapse is cheered on and encouraged by many of our leading "public health" experts. The parallels with the Communism I experienced are breathtaking. The Communists extolled having children -

6) in order to strengthen the "collective". They were indifferent and hostile to families. Abortion rates in communist countries were sky-high (Romania was the exception but their treatment of kids and families was even more abominable)
Now we stare into our mirrors

7) and tell ourselves how "amazing" and "awesome" we are, yet we are so weak and insecure that we censor speech and opinions, lest we feel offended. We are robotic, childish narcissists, so in love with our image and our masturbatory world view that we throw all ethics overboard

8) There is only one cure: teaching kids healthy individualism, the belief that with hard work and education many individuals can excel, teaching kids that harsh words and insults will come their way but they can shake them off and continue to success

9) we must teach the importance of family: mother/father/kids as the building bloc of EVERY healthy society. We must immediately abandon the teaching of collectivism - the poison that kills liberty and responsibility. We must encourage travel and learning of languages,

10) the respect of elders who are our trailblazers, just as we are the trailblazers for future generations. We must love and respect our children and never endanger their health for the sake of "saving one life") We must teach the quest for truth. The truth is tough

11) and the path is thorny. But it's the only way. Otherwise, we already are burning Rome...just waiting to hear Nero's fiddle
