PROOF now has so much news to break I'm falling behind.
PROOF's readers have *got* to be the best OSINT researchers in U.S. media right now.
A major update on a prior story is coming in about an hour. I'm trying to make these BREAKING NEWS stories shorter so I can get them out.
(PS) My patience for conversations about professionals being paid for their work is over. I've been a working journalist for 27 years. I teach journalism at an R1. I give away almost all my content. Those who complain about the last 10% being behind a low paywall will be blocked.
(PS2) I'm sorry to institute this policy, but I'm sick of being harassed daily. If you don't like my free content here on the feed, unfollow; if you don't think 72% of PROOF being free is enough, don't subscribe; if you come here to angrily demand free labor, you will be blocked.
(PS3) At this point in my life I'm not worried about followers. I am focused on being a professional and doing my work as a journalist—as I've done for 27 years now. Harassment enervates me and harms the work and I can't allow it anymore. My bio is below. sethabramson.net/bio
(PS4) I'm always willing to listen to block appeals. If you feel you've been wrongly blocked, contact me via my site and I'll consider all you say. I don't like blocking people but do it when I have to to maintain my mental health. My contact form is here: sethabramson.net/contact
(PS5) If you're interested in subscribing to PROOF, the link is below. If you're not, no prob—72% of PROOF content is free, more is made free weekly, and this feed is free. Just avoid any 🆚 tweets and don't harass me. Otherwise, you'll be blocked. Thanks. sethabramson.substack.com
(UPDATE) Apologies for the delay. Story bigger than expected. Shooting for 9:30PM ET.

Some great stuff here. But it's also striking how much was previously published in PROOF, and how much is missing. Stockton and Lawrence aren't identified as Bannon (Trump's top post-election advisor) associates? Wren isn't identified as Guilfoyle's agent? propublica.org/article/new-de…
Stockton and Lawrence have said that they were at the Willard waiting for "marching orders" on January 6, but here they sound like mere observers. Wren is made to sound like a rogue operator. Essentially, agents of more powerful people are made to seem like independent operators.
Alex Jones was investigated by police for physically threatening Kremer at the December 12 Stop the Steal event in DC—the *real* trial run for January 6, and almost completely ignored here. Alexander and Jones didn't get bumped from the Ellipse until much later than it says here.
(🆚) MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: Team Trump and Stop the Steal Premeditated Blaming the Insurrection on Antifa
They had a Plan B and executed it. They falsely accused antifa of having plants in the Capitol—because it's exactly what they did. Please share widely. sethabramson.substack.com/p/major-breaki…
1/ Giuliani broadcast Trump's first "defense" video from the then-president's "war room"/"command center" at the Willard Hotel on January 8. The defense had three parts. PROOF dismantled and disproved—and showed the plotting behind—the first one here (🆚): sethabramson.substack.com/p/breaking-new…
2/ In dismantling and disproving the second and third parts—and with help from PROOF readers, who've become one of the most incredible insurrection-researching teams in America—a plot was revealed to present artificial Team Trump/Stop the Steal propaganda as "proof" of innocence.
(🆚) BREAKING NEWS: A Fire Set on January 5 Outside the Willard Hotel May Have Helped Spark the Bloody Events of January 6
Given who was behind it—and why—I can't believe this January 5 event hasn't gotten more coverage. I hope you will share this widely. sethabramson.substack.com/p/breaking-new…
1/ This is just Part 1 of a 2-part PROOF exclusive, but already it has everything: a federal crime, a clash with police, plotting by InfoWars and the Proud Boys—two of the chief groups behind the insurrection—white supremacists, a mob. It's insane—and hasn't been reported before.
2/ The mystery of Roger Stone's January 6 actions is solved with this report (both parts). The degree of Team Trump's knowledge of what was going to happen on January 6 becomes clear. And Part 2 has a new piece of video that changes the insurrection narrative and *significantly*.
(🆚) EXCLUSIVE: PROOF has been working for 5 months—facing lawsuit threats from Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Joe Oltmann and the Proud Boys—to expose Trump's pre-insurrection war rooms. Here's a comprehensive report on what PROOF found. Please share widely. sethabramson.substack.com/p/exclusive-a-…
1/ When I briefly worked as a public defender investigator in the federal criminal justice system in D.C., I was trained to first determine all the relevant parties in the fact-pattern, which typically requires first determining all the key locations involved in the fact-pattern.
2/ That the United States Capitol is a key location in the January 6 investigation is clear. The FBI, major media, and some excellent citizen journalists have been using video and stills from that location to create a massive suspect list for January 6. This is all to the good.
Know what this is a photo of? Proud Boys and Proud Boy allies burning a Black Lives Matter flag outside the front of the Willard on Insurrection Eve. Staying at the Willard that night? Roger Stone, Rudy Giuliani, Joe Oltmann, George Papadopoulos. They knew where this was headed.
(PS) This burning was organized by Owen Shroyer of InfoWars—top lieutenant of Alex Jones, who Trump personally asked to lead the march on the Capitol. Also present? Tim Gionet ("Baked Alaska"), who has since been arrested. And Matt Colligan, who you may know from this old photo:
(PS2) There (in the foreground) is the ring-leader: Alex Jones lieutenant Owen Shroyer. The crowd is chanting "F*ck antifa!" as the flag burns. This—on January 5—is literally steps from the front of the Willard Hotel, where Trump's primary war room was on January 5 and January 6.
(MUSIC) My dad passed away last year. This edition of "Lost Classics of the 1960s"—from PROOF's Music section—is dedicated to him, as is the note preceding it. I hope you enjoy the music; it has a slightly different scope than other entries in the series. sethabramson.substack.com/p/lost-classic…
(PS) Putting this 10-song playlist together also reminded me what a *great* song "Suspicious Minds" is. While I'm not a big Elvis Presley fan myself—I've always recognized his amazing talent, but it hasn't typically spoken to me personally—that performance, from 1969, is *legit*.
