Worrying about soldiers becoming indoctrinated into frankly anti-American viewpoints is an absolutely legit concern, esp. for congressmen tasked w/ military oversight. Gen. Milley would be wise to treat the topic respectfully, not flippantly.
During the Korean War, Russell Kirk was tasked w/ writing a short primer explaining the basics of “The American Cause” to U.S. soldiers. Today’s there’s nothing like that on this list.
