If Donald Trump could give birth, it would have been to Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, both of whom are clearly created in his image. The especially vile Greene has put Trump’s bigotries on steroids.feministgiant.com/p/a-white-supr…
Lawmakers like Greene and Boebert are emblematic of white women who undergird right-wing populism - as voters and candidates. Just because they are so fond of posing with weapons, don’t take a Glock as a stand-in for feminism.
Like Trump, both Greene is obsessed with the Squad.
In Sept, Greene posted on her candidate FB page an image of herself holding a gun alongside images of AOC, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib and encouraged going on the "offense against these socialists." cnn.com/2020/09/04/pol…
It is a direct line between such incitement and the violent mob that stormed the Capitol on January 6. And Marjorie Taylor Greene continues her dangerous incitement against AOC et al. If MTG was a Muslim she would be in Guantanamo Bay and in shackles. feministgiant.com/p/if-marjorie-…

I promote the hell out of FEMINIST GIANT on social media, no apologies. I am proud of it. I don't make tons of $$$ and that was never my goal. It's free and pay only if you can. My goal has always been to write fuck-you-patriarchy essays when I want. And I do.
Too often, women are socialized into "I know it's unseemly to boast of my achievements," or "Sorry to self promote," etc etc etc. Or else we are chided for "attention seeking."
What if we commanded, seized, created attention instead of waited to be “paid” attention?
One of my literary heroes Gloria Anzaldúa in This Bridge Called My Back "A woman who writes has power. A woman who writes is feared. In the eyes of the world this makes us dangerous beasts"
The pandemic is a fucking disaster for women around the world. I launched FEMINIST GIANT to make available—free, no paywall or ads—feminist essays and news from around the world. Feminism is vital and I want it to be accessible to all
Along with my weekly essays—39 since I launched in September—interns Inaara Merani and Samiha Hossain Global Roundups twice a week that are Intersectional and decenter whiteness and the “West,” regularly feature Indigenous Feminism, cis and trans women and Two-Spirit people.
Here are last week’s Global Roundups:
Compiled by Samiha Hossain
-Indigenous Trans Visibility
-Journalists in Sri Lanka share #MeToo Stories
-Black TikTokers Strike
-Roma Band in Serbia Empowers Young Women
-First Drag Conference in India
I launched FEMINIST GIANT on Sept. 1. I am super fucking proud that during that time:
-I've written 39 essays
-Pay 2 interns who compile weekly Global Roundups of feminist news
-Co-produced a Pride Panel w/ @strandbookstore feministgiant.com
-Been quoted in various media e.g BBC, NPR
-Been translated into Turkish & Italian, Spanish soon
- Have kept FEMINIST GIANT free, no paywall or ads because I want it available to all
I recorded the audio version of both my books and loved it!
I know that The Seven Necessary Sins For Women and Girls audiobook is not yet available everywhere. Until then, hear me read my essays on FEMINIST GIANT☝🏽And here is the opening of my book
If you like the audiobook of my two books, which I recorded, you will like a new FEMINIST GIANT feature I’m launching on Sunday: audio versions of my essays.
Here is an excerpt of me reading from my first book Headscarves and Hymens: Why the Middle East Needs a Sexual Revolution on #SoundCloud: the dedication, epigraph, and Introduction. soundcloud.com/macaudio-2/hea…
But because she is white, evangelical, and a woman--a rich one at that--Greene is not in an orange jumpsuit locked up in a U.S. prison camp in Cuba. Instead, she is a member of the House of Representatives in the most powerful country in the world.
Greene was dangerous and vile long before she was elected but because much of her vileness was directed at Muslims, Black people, and Jews, Republicans shrugged and carried on being the craven shits they are, happy to throw their weight behind anyone who brings them votes.
