Back in January, when the feds first charged Michael Foy with attacking officers with a hockey stick during the Capitol attack, they said they found him through "open source research.” Now, in discovery, they disclose a facial recognition search.
They don’t disclose the name of the facial recognition software in the discovery letter, but you can tell from the affidavit that it scrapes public Facebook photos and you can make an educated guess. justice.gov/opa/page/file/…
So in a addition to finding a violent insurrectionist off his girlfriend’s Instagram, the feds got a violent insurrectionist off his dad’s Facebook page. huffpost.com/entry/facial-r…
The FBI has used both “open source research” and “open source search” to refer to facial recognition.

She traveled to D.C. on a bus paid for by Pa. state Sen. Doug Mastriano, a major backer of Trump’s Big Lie.

New Capitol case: Lois Lynn McNicoll was arrested today in Industry, California, per court records.
"...the red and white flag draped across McNicoll's shoulders appears to be a variant of California's state flag -- The Bear Flag -- where the words CALIFORNIA REPUBLIC have been replaced by the words TRUMP COUNTRY.”
In a voluntary interview, McNicoll allegedly told the FBI that she knew about the U.S. Capitol’s barriers and security measures, but still claimed “she did not feel that she was doing anything wrong.”

She also confused the crypt for the rotunda.

That’s in addition to allowing a top Trump-appointed federal prosecutor in Pennsylvania issue a highly unusual public statement in Sept. 2020 about an ongoing investigation (into an election worker’s mistake) that further fueled bogus claims about mass voter fraud.
