If you had mild Covid DO NOT assume "I have a good immune system therefore I'm protected now". It could be you were just lucky to have a low infection in the 1st place & it was so low your body didn't even have a chance to form strong antibodies. #SARSCoV2#SARSCov2antibodies
Plain English explanation of above graph:
Seropositive = got antibody
Seronegative = no antibody
Ct is opposite of how much viral RNA, low Ct *roughly* means high virus, high Ct~low virus
Comparison of #SARSCoV2 cultures in well-differentiated, primary epithelial cells in air-liquid interface from 12 different mammals species. I'm guessing the 1 paragraph & table of Methods on the cell culture has like months of work behind it.
(fig1: left 33C, right 37C)
Since these types of cultures can be tricky and susceptible to poor cell quality they used influenza A (human isolate) and influenza D (bovine isolate) as positive controls for virus infection.
Except for 1 bat (both bats are American species), all the cultures were infectable by 1 or both #influenza viruses, showing the cells are fine, but only rhesus macaque and domestic cat AEC cells were infectable by #SARSCoV2.
Hope that spillback into American bats will not occur.
