I've helped John in the past and his coaching business is doing great.
I know for a fact he'll say, "Yes! I'm in."
It's now 10:20 AM, and I'm about to state the price.
"... and to join for my Ascension Program," I say to John, "we can get started today for Twelve Thousand Dollars."

John said yes.
See, the Ascension Program is a new coaching program I have for people who already have an online service business running. Basically, I show my student how to automate lead generation so they can focus on selling and coaching
But I'm not here to talk about the Ascension Program
I'm here to tell you how I lost those $12K.
So, as I was saying, John said yes.
As he's looking for his credit card, I begin to talk about some ideas I had for him.
Meanwhile, something inside of me is telling me, "Stooooop. Don't talk! Remember Rule #1 of Sales! SHUT. YOUR. MOUTH... after saying the price"
But I'm still blabbering, ignoring my gut
I got the sale.
He's fetching the credit card.
John's a friend and previous client.
Done deal!
"So John, you know, while you look for the card, let me tell you what we'll be doing... blah, blah, blah, bluh...."
John cut me off to drop this zinger:
"You know what, Jose. I don't think this is the right time for me."
I tried my backup plan of splitting the payment into multiple installments.
I tried to dig deeper into his reasoning.
I tried answering every objection he had.
But he literally pulled a u-turn, going from an enthusiastic yes to a fat no.
And that's how I lost 12K.
Why?
Reason #1: I broke Rule #1 Of Sales: keeping my mouth shut.
Reason #2: I didn't listen to my gut.
So remember, keep your mouth shut after you state your price and wait to get paid before talking more about anything else.
If you want to:
- start & grow an online biz
- learn sales and persuasion
- avoid the mistakes I make

Unlike what Twitter pundits say... CA is a beautiful state, except for Los Angeles.
Anywho,
One of my favorite places was Sequoia National Park, where the Sequoia trees are found.

The Sequoia trees are considered one of the tallest trees in the world. In fact, in Sequoia park, you'll find the biggest tree in the world, the General Sherman.
