So, some new graphs, our updated jobs score card.

34m jobs - 16 yrs Clinton Obama
3m jobs - 5 months Biden
2m jobs - 16 years 2 Bushes, Trump
Jobs created by month, below.

Biden - 604k (5 months)
Clinton/Obama - 176k (16 yrs)
2 Bushes, Trump - 9,700 (16 yrs)

Biden 60x per month last 3 GOP Presidencies right now. 604,000 vs 10,000.
Here's a bit more analysis, and why we think the repeated failure of the GOP over three Presidencies and 30 years to create jobs and a good economy is foundational to understanding their current dramatic decline as a Party.

And if you want to do a much deeper dive on data like this come watch our presentation, "With Democrats Things Get Better." We have two showings scheduled for July, and a recent recording is now available.

The 850k jobs created in June was an incredible number, and shows that Biden's economic plan is clearly working.

A short thread which helps puts Biden's early success in historical perspective. (1/x)
We've updated our jobs score card, and now have it:

34m jobs - 16 yrs Clinton Obama

Jobs created by month, below.

Clinton/Obama - 176k (16 yrs)

We are at another “off ramp” from MAGA moment for the GOP.

Are Governors and leaders of low vaccine states just going to let their constituents die without waging a major effort to save them? (1/x)
The low vaccine states have the money, the know how and the backing of the US government to ensure that COVID doesn't ravage their communities.

A failure to take dramatic action now isn't conservative - it's barbaric, medieval, perhaps even criminal.

Proof of vaccination is required for schools and camps all across the country. There is nothing "woke" or anti-freedom about this.

Freedom in fact comes from not being ravaged by disease - what public health, modern medicine all about (3/x).

Just finished an interview with the great @NormOrnstein. It was one of the most thorough and compelling discussions I've heard about the threat a radicalized GOP pose to our democracy.

It is very much worth your time. You can find it below.

Here's a writeup of our interview today with @NormOrnstein from @ThePlumLineGS and @brianbeutler.

Norm's ideas for reforming the filibuster are very very good ones, and deserve more attention.

Thought this was a really interesting part of my talk w/@NormOrnstein today. Big rethink is needed for way media uses today's ideological terms - progressive, liberal, conservative.....GOP clearly no longer a conservative party. What words to use?

So, I've built a presentation around the graph below.

It tells a story about American politics since the end of the Cold War.

The story is about a modern, effective Democratic Party which has repeatedly made things better; and a GOP which has failed to do its part. (1/x)
This story

Dem = modern, successful
GOP = reactionary, failed

Needs to be better understood by all, and repeated, and repeated again.

Come watch this presentation - June 18, 25 and July 16, 30.

It will change you understanding of US politics. (2/x)

The data is this presentation is also critical we think to helping Dems win the big economic argument this year.

Biden has created more jobs in 4 months than the last 3 GOP Presidents over 16 years.

Clinton Obama = 34m jobs
Bushes Trump = 2m jobs

This piece from @ThePlumLineGS gets at something important - Ds cannot repeat the mistake of 2009, and must spend a great deal of time and money making clear to voters how what we've done has made the recovery happen.

We need to get much louder about our economic achievements.
I get a bit more into the "Dems need to get louder about economic achievements" strategy here.

simon-rosenberg.medium.com/a-summer-to-do…
Let me give you an example of getting louder on the economy -

Joe Biden has created more jobs in 4 months than the last three Republican Presidents did in 16 years.

Have appreciated the interest in our new econ graph below, one that shows that in just 4 months Biden has already seen more jobs created on his watch than the last 3 GOP Presidents combined, over 16 years.

So gonna share a few more graphs.....(1/x)

Here's one showing booming stock market gains under Clinton and Obama, only modest/zero gains under recent GOP Presidents (2/x). Using the Dow here.
Here's one showing average job gains per month. Note that over 16 years GOP Presidents AVERAGED only 10,000 jobs created per month, 120k per year.

Biden is averaging averaging 500k a month, which = 4-5 years of recent GOP per month (3/x).
