2/x Frederick Douglass loved America. He rightly denounced the grotesque evil of slavery, which in 1852 was tragically still legal. But, thanks to the heroic leadership of Douglass & other abolitionists—and a bloody Civil War—we ended that abomination.
3/x Douglass closed, “I, therefore, leave off where I began, with hope. While drawing encouragement from ‘the Declaration of Independence,’ the great principles it contains, and the genius of American Institutions, my spirit is also cheered by the obvious tendencies of the age.”
4/x Douglass rightly—and ferociously—called out injustice. But contrast Douglass’s hope, optimism, passion for justice, and unifying call for America to live up to her grand ideals with the “Squad’s” angry, hateful, consistently anti-American venom.
5/x All of us should reject fear & anger. We should fight to further our Nation’s founding promise that “all men are created equal.”
And we should be encouraged by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s exhortation, “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”

On this Fourth of July, we reflect on the incredible spirit of American patriots. Whether it’s standing up to Red Coats or Nazis—or even space aliens 👽 👽 —Americans never surrender, never stop fighting for freedom.
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸💥🇺🇸💥🇺🇸
Another classic: Patton’s 3rd Army address. If you haven’t watched George C. Scott’s rendition, WATCH.
I used to watch this video every time the night before I had a Supreme Court argument.
Happy Fourth!! 🇺🇸
Both Patton’s speech & Pullman’s are modeled after Shakespeare’s St. Crispin’s Day speech.
4) give violent felons stimulus $$ and make them legal voters; and
…(5) hide!
For all the liberal commentators who are screaming “lies, lies, lies!” well, facts matter. You’re entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. And these (somewhat joking) positions reflect ACTUAL POLICY POSITIONS taken by the Biden Admin.
1) Last year, Anderson Cooper said, “So, to gun owners out there who say, 'Well, a Biden administration means they’re going to come for my guns.’” Biden replied, Bingo."
1/x Is there a more pitiful example of corrupt corporate media than Brian Williams?
He was fired as the anchor of NBC Nightly News for "misrepresenting events which occurred while he was covering the Iraq War in 2003.” Now, he’s a left-wing hack at MSNBC. msnbc.com/11th-hour/watc…
2/x Now, he’s throwing a hissy fit that I criticized the ridiculously woke video that the Biden admin put out. Williams accidentally told the truth, when he describes it as “a video meant to diminish the U.S. military.”
TRUE. That’s the problem. (The Pentagon put it out.)
3/x Now, with his trademark ignorant snark, he’s dubbed me “Kremlin Cruz.”
Three problems:
(1) I hate communists, my family was imprisoned & tortured by communists, and Brian is a shameless apologist for Russian (and Chinese and Cuban) communists.
Democrats are pushing to upend the country by packing #SCOTUS to cement their radical agenda.
At stake: free speech, religious liberty, the Bill of Rights, & an independent judiciary.
It’s not just Republicans who oppose packing the Court, only 43% of Dem voters support it.
2/x
Despite widespread opposition, Democrats in DC are moving full steam ahead with their terrible idea.
Instead of politicizing the Supreme Court to ram through their extreme agenda, Democrats should listen to Joe Biden's own previous warnings about packing the court.
3/x
In 1983, Joe Biden called FDR's move to pack the Supreme Court a “bonehead idea. It was a terrible, terrible mistake to make & it put in question there for an entire decade the independence of [#SCOTUS].”
