Welp. My local shop built the gun from The Tomorrow War. Watch out, @prattprattpratt!
There were two versions of the gun in the movie. This is the longer barrel that's used by the badass shotgun guy.
The short-barrel version that Chris Pratt uses is such a bizarre build. It's got a full-length stock with like a 10-inch barrel and an ACOG. There's no logic behind this lol.
But this gun is actually for sale at All Shooters Tactical in Woodbridge, Virginia. They're selling it for about $2,800. I'm sure they'll FFL it to your local dealer if you're not in Virginia. Give them a call if you're interested. allshooterstactical.com/locations/
Unfortunately, it does not come with the future magazines that appear to hold unlimited ammunition.
Also, no, All Shooters Tactical didn't pay me for this. I come to this shop all the time and they always have a bunch of cool guns. I just enjoy the place and like their eclectic taste and creativity. Here's a sample of some of their other guns.

There are several reasons to believe the gun sales spike is not driving the murder increase. In fact, it seems more likely the exact opposite is true. I talked about this is a member exclusive over at @TheReloadSite. I hope @chrislhayes gives it a read. thereload.com/analysis-gun-s…
For one, as the chart @chrislhayes puts up in this segment shows, what we call a gun sales spike is actually a gun background check spike. Because that's our best measure for how many guns are being sold.
That should give you insight into the people buying all those guns: namely that they can pass a background check. It's rather unlikely that a significant number of people who can pass an FBI background check to buy a gun then immediately turned around and murder someone.

Wirelessly streaming Half-life Alyx from the pc I just built to my Oculus Quest 2 definitely makes me feel like the king of the nerds. But in a good way!
I'm also loving the visuals and controls in Half-life Alyx. Valve really knows what they're doing with VR.
Of course, now I want to do the hack where you can pair Index controllers with the Quest 2. It would be cool to control each finger individually in the game.

Federal Judge: Government Liable for Background Check Failure That Led to Sutherland Springs Shooting thereload.com/federal-judge-…
“The Government’s failure to exercise reasonable care increased the risk of physical harm to the general public, including Plaintiffs. And its failure proximately caused the deaths and injuries of Plaintiffs at the Sutherland Springs First Baptist Church on November 5, 2017.”
Judge Xavier Rodriguez said the department in charge of the Sutherland Springs shooter's criminal records was understaffed and overworked. But he also said Air Force leadership was negligent in ignoring requirements to share records with the FBI. thereload.com/federal-judge-…

I took my Sony A6100 out to test my photography skills a bit while watching the DC fireworks from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. I really like this one. The sign refracts the light in a really cool way from the right angle.
I had some fun with a slow shutter speed and the traffic.
The Capitol Wheel peaking over the bridge as cars zoom past 🎡

The Tomorrow War was really good. Definitely a solid sci-fi movie action movie with an affecting emotional core to it.
The third act is maybe a bit toooo much of an homage to Alien, though. The monsters were also a little too indestructible but they do a decent job of explaining that.
I would recommend it, though. Very enjoyable.
