BRAVO: ๐ฆ๐น Austria pulls out of UN's upcoming 20th anniversary celebration of the Durban Conference, which was tainted by antisemitism.

โAustria supports efforts to combat racism worldwide, while rejecting the misuse of the Durban process to unfairly single out and target Israel.โ
โTherefore, Austria abstained from the vote to hold a high-level conference in New York to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Durban conference. There will be no participation at the political level.โ
UN Watch urges other nations to follow. The Durban conference turned into a platform for virulent antisemitism. It failed to unify the world in the fight against racism. True anti-racists should not legitimize this tainted process.
If you don't name the perpetrator, this is worthless. Why haven't you even mentioned the word โCubaโ since May 2020? During a year when they beat up artists & dissidents and throw them in prison? And as they now seek to crush historic mass protests?
Gital Sahgal, Amnesty International's former gender unit head, reminds us that Amnesty's then Secretary-General @claudio_cordone justified working with pro-Taleban activists because โdefensive jihad is not antithetical to human rights.โ
Amnesty changed its mind when partner Caged Prisoners was linked to โJihadi Johnโ, the masked ISIS man with British accent who beheaded hostages.

Kate Allen, @AmnestyUK's longtime director until her recent retirement (and who had lived together with London Mayor โRed Kenโ Livingstone for 20 years) "was central to Amnesty's embrace of pro-Jihadis and to the cover up afterward."
My @UN_HRC speech today: โMadam President: Here in the UN, we just heard repeated and false accusations against Israel. But in reality, on the ground in Bethlehem, Hebron and Ramallah, thousands of Palestinians are actually demonstrating against the Palestinian Authority.โ
โTheyโre protesting the June 24th arrest of Nizar Banat, an outspoken critic of President Abbas.
More than two dozen PA security officers raided his home, at 3:30 am. They severely beat Banat with metal clubs and rifle butts, in front of his wife and young children...โ
โ...before taking him away. Three hours later, he was dead.
When Palestinians protested, PA forces attacked them with batons, tear gas and stun grenades. PA officers singled out female demonstrators and reporters, who were sexually harassed.โ
I've been sitting at the UN for 17 years and this was never mentioned:
"The sale of Palestinian land to Israelis is punishable by death, a Palestinian court ruled, in what PA officials say is a necessary measure to ensure the founding of a future state."

๐ณ๐ฑ @ministerBZ: โThe Netherlands does not intend to participate in the Durban IV meeting, in view of the historical burden of the Durban process, the risk of repetition of abuse of this platform for antisemitic expressions...
For the past two weeks, Palestinians have begun to protest the brutality of their autocratic Abbas government.
Meanwhile, the U.N. Human Rights Council is about to hold its perennial meeting on Palestinian rights but will mention none of this โ because Israel cannot be blamed.
