Ok, so what’s the sitch?
Family spread is still happening. Essential workers are going to work with symptoms. The virus is spreading throughout Fairfield.
TAS / ACT/ the NT/ Southies/ VIC/Walkers of the West and the Queenies.
No new cases club but - border watch is on.
Victoria - the permit state. Ok everyone chill but - there are two slight heebie jeebie moments happening.
A crew of three removalists left Sydney on July 8, they dropped off some furniture in Hume and picked up some in Maribrynong. Then they went to South Australia. Problem is… when they got back to Sydney - one tested positive…this arvo.. another did.
No exposure sites yet but hold on to your seat bestie because they are on their way. Interviews on going.
Also! A family of four returned from Sydney (three by ✈️ one by 🚗) two of them have now tested positive. The plane is not a risk as they weren’t infectious then and they tested negative on arrival. They are on red permits and have been sticking to the rules. Phew.
Southies!
They’re also on high alert for Delta not Goodrem after the removalists travelled there.
The family they did work for have tested negative so far – phew.
They’re tightening their border restrictions for people returning from NSW including increased testing for truckies.
West Walkers.
They’ve returned to a life of norm with restrictions easing – no masks - no crowd limits.
People can freely visit their loved ones in aged care and hospitals and there are no service restrictions in hospitality venues yay!
The first ute was invented and built by Melbournian James Freeland Leacock in 1929.
This first commercial Ute was made by the swish new Ford Motor Company at Geelong in in 1934. It was designed by Lewis Brandt.
Ute beauty - shit joke. It’s all I had.

Victoria - we’ve gone from sipping vodkas to panic at the disco. Let’s get through this without swearing? I’ll try.
Eight cases today.
1-4) Residents at the Maribrynong apartments
5-6) Two elderly parents linked to a man at the apartments. 7. One shopper at Coles Craigieburn who got it from the red permit rule breakers. 8. One more in the red zone rule breakers family.
You want the breakdown? I got you.
Righto Removalists:
Three removalists not wearing masks from Sydney arrived on July 8.
Residents in the Maribrynong apartments helped them move furniture. They were in the lifts. They were all over level three.
Let’s go with Victoria first given our zero streak is over after 12 days. 😭
3 new cases today: The Hume family.
They returned from Sydney on a red permit last week.
They tested within 72 hours and all came back negative. Sounds all good right? Wrong!
Problem is - after their results – one left isolation and went to Coles Craigieburn Central and to a servo.
(54 shoppers now have to test and isolate)
This week they felt symptoms got nervous - got tested – two came back positive yesterday and one today.
They will not be fined.

Health Minister Martin Foley: NSW health advised us last night that an infectious case was in Victoria and South Australia on the 8th and 9th of July. They stayed overnight on the 8th. They were working as a removalist. @7NewsMelbourne
There will be exposure sites from this case - Vic authorities waiting on information from NSW.
‘It would appear the person crossed the border and did some work in Melbourne’. @7NewsMelbourne
Ok NSW…let’s go.
16 new cases - 14 of them linked to known cases. Phew! 13 of them were in full iso, 1 in partial isolation during their infectious period.
Of the new cases three are from the Summit Care residential aged care facility in Baulkham Hills. 👵🏼 👴🏻 👴🏻 ⬅️ they’ve been taken to hospital as a precaution. They were all vaccinated - the rest of the residents remain in lockdown. Workers here tested positive earlier in the week.
There’s a small worry about some poop water at St Marys sewage treatment plant as there are no known cases in that area.
There’s also an alert for VA524 Gold Coast to Sydney on Saturday 26 June - multiple people have tested positive since travelling on this flight.
