#ShutdownSA While government remains cagey about the identity of one of 12 alleged instigators of the unprecedented wave of violence, looting and destruction of the past 8 days, the unrest continued unabated in KwaZulu-Natal overnight.
#ShutdownSA 91 people have died in KwaZulu-Natal and 1500 have been arrested since Friday last week. Overall 117 deaths have been directly linked to the violence, and more than 2200 people have been arrested in Gauteng and KZN.
#ShutdownSA KZN: Overnight looters torched the landmark Isipingo market, set fires in Greytown, torched the Eshowe mall, and even threatened to burn down the Eston Sugar Mill.
#BusFire Two buses have been gutted in a fire at the Blackheath Golden Arrow Bus Depot. Officers deployed to scene just before 5AM. The cause is unknown. LI
#BusFire City Metro Police Spokesperson Ruth Solomons says the officers investigated and found no signs of protestors or any suspicious activity in and around the facility. LI
