Three paragraphs into this article and we’ve already got a member of the HFPA emotionally quoting (and likely misusing) @baratunde about the healing power of love during a Zoom meeting with publicists.

Lord, grant me strength as I continue. latimes.com/entertainment-…
“Our members — imagine how diverse we are. We’ve got Muslims and Jews and Catholics, etc.... We want to change. We want to do good things, but it doesn’t have to be this drastic.” She then added, “Let’s not be overly woke.”
I… don’t understand.
Whooboy. We are laughing.

The thing about @lilnasx is that if he hadn’t birthed Old Town Road and Montero and become a self made cultural icon, he’d STILL be a genius communicator and marketer.
He’d be Montero Hill, a 22 year old junior employee whose ideas and abilities were likely overlooked because he doesn’t fit the corporate description of communications and marketing genius.
How many other Montero Hills are out there, working at your companies well below their abilities - not even getting interviews at your companies - because you can’t recognize the talent in this form?

And how much money are you leaving on the table because you can’t?
