Boris Johnson announced his plans for #LevellingUp to address regional inequality today.
SO. MANY. PROBLEMS.
My screen-recorder accidentally recorded the webcam microphone audio while getting the clip of the speech.

See if you can spot (listen out for) the moment I realised that Boris Johnson's plan was to install Tory puppets across the country in the name of "regional devolution".
This is the footage I couldn't fit in...

Because we have an unfair voting system, people who vote progressive their whole lives end up associating the bad things the Tories have done to them with the party they voted for.

And that leads to crazy statements like this!

It's the gaslighting for me:

Boris Johnson says the problem in Africa is that we're not in charge anymore...
Priti Patel says taking a knee is wrong...
They produce a Race Report that talks about the benefits of slavery...

Then act like they're fighting racism along with us.
Don't believe me?

Here's Boris Johnson writing for the spectator... Image
Here's Priti Patel saying that every way that black people have chosen to protest against inequality, including silently taking a knee, is wrong.

I'm just sat here waiting for the people who defended booing the largest anti-racism movement on the planet to tell me how I should tackle racism.
They always tell us we're opposing racism the wrong way, but don't ever seem to lift a finger to #SayNoToRacism themselves.
Funny that...
Here's Daily Mail editor Andrew Pierce...
What a difference a month makes, huh @toryboypierce?

I no longer have any problem calling all 357 Tory MPs fascists because...

Fascism involves the forceful suppression of opposition and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM just voted for police to arrest protesters who shout too loudly. #PoliceCrackdownBill #PolicingBill
Tory MP David Davis said the #PoliceCrackdownBill "actually does pose a grave threat to the fundamental right of protest" then voted for it!

FASCIST!
@DavidDavisMP
Tory MP Jonathan Djanogly said the #PolicingBill would "reduce public safety" by encouraging the police to use force against peaceful protesters... THEN VOTED FOR IT!

FASCIST!

I'm watching Parliament discuss the #PolicingBill.
Thread:
MP @HarrietHarman calls for curb-crawling (form of sexual harassment) to be made into a specific offence, with the potential penalty of losing one's driver's license.
#PolicingBill
Shadow Home Office Minister @LabourSJ is an absolute rockstar on this.
And demands removal of the clauses which criminalise being #NoisyAndAnnoying at protests. Image

Dear EU Citizens living in the UK.

TODAY is the Deadline to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme!
Please do it!!
Listen to how little of a crap these Tories will give if your life is even more destabilised by this.

Don't blame me! It's @rickygervais that said it!
I'll probably wake up to a bunch of angry replies so, as I've said MANY times:

The public, BOTH remainers and Leavers alike, on average, did not understand UK-EU relations well enough to be given that question.

Even I didn't understand the Northern Ireland dimension until 2018.
The above tweet is being quoted by people choosing to take the last sentence in isolation and pretend I wasn't OBVIOUSLY saying that despite being more qualified on EU law than 99% of Britain, there were still aspects of UK-EU relations I was ignorant of.
