"I will represent myself!" Jan 6 defendant Zach Alam is yelling at attorneys and clerks who are awaiting judge in his Jan 6 case
Alam of Texas is accused of breaking the window at the Speaker's Lobby
Alam is trying to dump his lawyer and take over his own defense
"I choose to speak for myself", Alam tells court
Court warns him not to.
"(Prosecutor) will not be able to convince jury that i possessed dangerous weapon on January 6. I can prove that," Alam said
Alam just told court - "I want (prosecutor) to offer me a deal right now... She needs to start doing her job and offer me a deal"
Judge is trying to stop him
Alam continues, "I want her to offer me a deal"
Judge warns Alam that prosecutor is not required to do so. Alam is talking over his lawyer and trying to take over his own case.
His lawyer wants to delay hearing
This is going off the rails
This is the 2nd defendant this week to disrupt proceedings
Alam just told prosecutor, "Can I get an offer?"
Judge warns him to stop talking again
Alam responds again, "I'm talking for myself. (My lawyer) is not talking for me.." Tells judge, "I don't take your advice"
Prosecutor tells court, "There has not been a plea offer, but I'm happy to start that process"
Alam interjects, "consider it requested now!"
Judge is stopping hearing. Delaying it til August. Defendant Zach Alan just said he’s making an “offer” to court … “drop all charges”… “make me a counteroffer”
Alam returns to jail. Til next hearing later this summer
Alam's next court hearing is August 17. Let's see how that one goes

RIGHT NOW: Prosecutors are arguing to hold Jan 6 defendant Rob Morss in jail. Morss is accused of having military gear & being part of multiple fronts of assault vs police
Feds say Morss tried to "rob" baton and shield from officer's hands, engaged in violence for 2+ hours
Feds: Morss used stolen riot shield against the officers, told someone to block a camera, joined crowd as it did "heave-ho" attack against line of officers, went into Capitol thru broken window
Feds: He appears to put his military training to use that day. Morss was a leader
Morss has argued that he got "caught up in the frenzy" that day
But prosecutors say Morss packed military gear, including tourniquet.. and was "directing" others in mob
Another domestic abuse allegation surfaces in Jan 6 case
Matt Bledsoe asks court to remove his GPS ankle tether
Feds respond that police were called on Bledsoe in 2014 for punching pregnant woman & repeatedly kneeing her stomach (He wasn't convicted)
& Another call in 2020
Oh... and Bledsoe is asking the court to remove his tether device because he:
1) Owns a moving company 2) Is working a lot 3) Wants to wear shorts 4) Can't wear shorts, because of ankle tether 5) Says it's "hard" to conceal ankle tether
This is at least the second Jan 6 defendant who was accused of assaulting a pregnant woman prior to the Insurrection
