The We Build the Wall fraud case is back in court for the first hearing with the remaining defendants since Steve Bannon's indictment was dismissed.

Follow along with me @LawCrimeNews.

Background: lawandcrime.com/high-profile/f…
Judge Torres seeks an update:

AUSA says they anticipate "near final" tranche of discovery in the coming weeks.

Prosecutors want to discuss a motion schedule.
AUSA Nicolas Roos argues that the remaining discovery should not delay pre-trial motions.

Kolfage's lawyer Harvey Steinberg is pushing for a later date than Judge Torres appears to want, for scheduling reasons.

"I'm literally in trial four weeks in a row, two trials a week."
Just a scheduling hearing:

Very little happened other than sorting out the docket's calendar.

But the We Build the Wall train is back in operation.

Prosecutors want him to remain detained, and they are arguing about that request now.

From the government's letter.

Missed the six (!) hour hearing?

Here's a recap:

"A Federal Judge Holds 'Kraken' Lawyers' Feet to the Fire at Sanctions Hearing. Lin Wood Tried to Distance Himself from It All." lawandcrime.com/2020-election/… via @lawcrimenews
For what it's worth, I'm seeing folks claiming that Haller was crying, or asking about whether she did. She sounded nervous and perhaps awkward, with a shaky voice.

More than that? I didn't see or hear it.
As a caveat:

While I listened to the proceedings in full, my eyes weren't entirely fixed upon the screen throughout the entire six-hour ordeal.

Welcome back, all. Is everyone caffeinated and refreshed?
Judge: "As promised, we will begin with Mr. Wood."

Wood: "What I wanted to make clear is, as I said at the beginning," he does not believe the court has jurisdiction over him and that he did not sign the pleading.

"I do not have a slash-s signature line," Wood adds.
