1/ Hospitals are NOT being overwhelmed right now with unvaxed delta deaths. It's just not happening, just like it didn't happen last year in NYC.

Yeah, I said it. Because it's true.

Was it bad in NYC last Spring? Yup. Was it "overwhelmed"?

No. Not even close.

2/ Never mind that we didn't use the SHIP or the JAVITZ or CENTRAL PARK or the multi-million $ BROOKLYN COVID HOSPITAL at all (completely empty!) the problems we did have in hospitals were mostly due to catastrophic bureaucratic mismanagement (achem, Elmhurst). And vents! ☹️

3/ I know several people personally that work in NYC hospitals. And an interesting thing happened in early April 2020.

I saw a Dr friend of mine appear on a national TV show (!) and he proceeded to weep and wimper about the "needless slaughter" that was occurring in his ICU 😳

4/ He begged and pleaded with viewers to "stay home! save lives!" and awed the audience with tales of death, blood, gore, misery, and "bodies lining the hallways" … "WAR ZONE!!!".

Like everyone else watching, I was horrified… so I called his boss.

5/ The Dr in charge of that exact NYC hospital told me this:

"Wait, he said what now? (shuffles papers) We currently have plenty of room in the ICU, plenty of vents available, no overload at all. I was just there. I have no idea what he's talking about. Why would he say that?"

6/ So I sent the young Dr a message:
"Hey… are things really that bad there??"
"Oh yes, complete war zone! Stay home! Save lives!"
"Hm. Because I just talked to _____. He says 'hi'."

(no response)

7/ After a while the young TV Dr finally replied:

"Phew, sry about that, things were crazy here! Thankfully a bit of a breather in between waves. Had to help all those ICU patients get of vents! GTG!"

"So… no 'war zone'?"

(again, no response)

8/ The moral of this story is simple: there are a lot of people out there who actually believe that the WORSE they make things seem, the MORE LIKELY you are to "obey" - and do the things that they believe will help.

Doesn't matter, obviously, whether their ideas are good or not.

9/ They have it in their heads that their models, theories and TheScience™! would certainly work wonders… if only 100% of everyone got on board, and played along.

The actually believe that scaring the shit out of everyone increases the likelihood of thorough compliance.

10/ This is the Noble Lie. And they've been lying - not always so nobley - for over 15 months now.

Repeating every suspect horror story.
Puffing up every urban legend.
Giving stats and data the worst possible interpretations.

All to try and get YOU… to fall in line.

11/ Again. Is this pandemic bad? YES. But is it anywhere near as bad as these fools insist it is?

And that's *before* we had vaccines and massive amounts of natural immunity.

WTF are we even doing here?
