House Dems conceded to a toothless bipartisan 1/6 commission, Republicans reneged, Dems created a 1/6 committee, appointed Cheney to it, but when Pelosi drew the line at pro-insurrection members, the media verdict was: both sides to blame! Six months of investigative time lost.
Pelosi was right to expel Jordan and Banks; Dems would be right to fold infrastructure into reconciliation, but what was the point of everything that came before? Maybe it was inevitable in a party with Sinema and Manchin, but leaders like Pelosi and Biden indulged it all along.
