1. Operation Surge Capacity (OSC) begins today. Aim is to vaccinated all adults in the Klang Valley with at least 1 dose of the COVID19 vaccine. 15 new PPVs opened including Setia Eco Templer, Gamuda Garden, IIUM (Gombak) & Bangi Convention Center (BCC) @Khairykj @JKJAVMY

@Khairykj @JKJAVMY 2. New PIKAS sites for vaccination of industry workers will also be opened including Wisma Hua Zhong in Balakong, Hulu Langat. 150k workers to be vaccinated in one week. #OSC

@Khairykj @JKJAVMY 3. SELVAX Industry and Community will also administer vaccines of up to 100k doses during OSC. Other Ministries such as Domestic Trade, MOT, Works will also have their own workers vaccination programs in the KV. #OSC

@Khairykj @JKJAVMY 4. Capacity at selected PPVs will also be ramped up to reach the target of 1.3m first doses in the KV this week. At the same time, 915k 2nd doses will also be administered in KV this week. Total of 2.2m doses or 315k doses/day. A 50% increase in daily capacity. #OSC

@Khairykj @JKJAVMY 5. This ramp up is doable because of the cooperation between all the stakeholders, with close cooperation btwn the Federal & Selangor state government. MoH, Protect Health led by @aafaizli, private healthcare operators, all also stepping up as part of #OSC

@Khairykj @JKJAVMY @aafaizli 6. At the end of this week, almost 100% of the adult pop. in the KV would have gotten the 1st jab (not incl undocumented migrants) and 40% wld be fully vaccinated. Hopefully, the # of deaths & serious cases in KV can decrease after this.

@Khairykj @JKJAVMY @aafaizli 7. >80% of adult pop will be fully vaccinated before the 31st of Aug (AZ 2nd dose in Sept). With this, hopefully # of serious COVID19 cases & deaths can start to decrease. We have seen this take place in Labuan after more than 50% of the adult pop fully vaccinated.

Not an easy task with so many balls, plates & cups to juggle at once. Thanks to his able team as well including @MadiAzmadi

The # of cases WILL come down once the % of fully vaccinated in KV crosses a certain threshold. More importantly, the # of deaths & serious cases WILL come down. The vaccines work. Don't lose hope.
