1. FBI Director Christopher Wray conducted a sham investigation of the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh and then covered it up for two years

There are still many unanswered questions

popular.info/p/the-fbis-gar…
2. Wray established a tip line for people with information about the allegations against Kavanaugh, collected 4500 tips, apparently conducted no follow up, and forwarded "relevant" tips to the White House

popular.info/p/the-fbis-gar…
3. Wray and Kavanaugh overlapped at Yale law school, worked together during the George W. Bush administration, and are both members of the right-wing Federalist Society

popular.info/p/the-fbis-gar…
4. It's important to understand the full truth about the Kavanaugh investigation.

Whitehouse and other Senators asked a series of follow up questions to Wray and they shouldn't have to wait 2 years for answers this time

popular.info/p/the-fbis-gar…
5. Biden decided to keep Wray but that decision does not have to be permanent.

If Wray conducted a sham sexual assault investigation in coordination w/the Trump White House that's disqualifying

1. Biden's claimed that misinformation about vaccines on the platform was "killing people"

Facebook responded with a flurry of statistics that it claimed proved the company was "saving lives."

So I decided to take a closer look at these statistics.

popular.info/p/lies-damn-li…
2. The main stat that Facebook used was " 2 billion people have viewed authoritative information about COVID-19 and vaccines on Facebook."

But I've found that Facebook has used a version of this stat since APRIL 2020, long before vaccines were available

popular.info/p/lies-damn-li…
3. Further, "viewing" information - true or false - doesn't mean much. The question is how Facebook INFLUENCES people's views on vaccines.

A new report from @NewsGuardRating found Facebook is still algorithmically recommending anti-vaxx pages

1. Earlier this week I published a list of about 3 dozen major companies that kept their promise to cut off funding to the 147 Republican objectors

After yesterday's FEC filing, several had to be removed.

2. On 1/26, @Google said it "will not be making any contributions this cycle to any member of Congress who voted against certification of the election results"

In June, @Google donated 15K to the @NRCC, which is supporting the reelection of 130+ Republican objectors
3. After 1/6, @Verizon said it was “suspending contributions in 2021 to any member of Congress who voted in favor of objecting to the election results.”

In June @Verizon donated 15K to the @NRCC, and 15K to the @NRSC, which is chaired by GOP objector @SenRickScott

1. I know we are supposed to describe the decision to get a vaccine as a "personal decision" because that makes vaccine hesitant people more comfortable but it's really not true.

The decision not to get a vaccine is a bad decision that endangers everyone else.
2. It endangers millions of kids under 12 (who are not eligible to get the vaccine) and the immunocompromised (who might not get robust protection from vaccines).
3. And it also endangers everyone by giving the virus a chance to replicate and potentially mutate to something that can evade vaccines.

1. I've been spending a lot of time highlighting companies that have broken their commitments after January 6

But this has created a somewhat inaccurate picture because many companies of kept their promises

So I've created a list of those companies.

Follow along if interested
2. The companies I'm highlight here:

- After 1/6, pledged not to donate to any of the 147 Republican objectors

- Have not donated to any objectors since

- Have not donated to any multi-candidate committees (like the NRCC and NRSC) that support Republican objectors

UPDATE: @LockheedMartin is now the top corporate donor to Republicans that voted to overturn the election, surpassing @Toyota

A popular.info analysis finds @LockheedMartin has donated to 53 GOP objectors in the first 6 months of 2021

popular.info/p/lockheed-mar…
@LockheedMartin @Toyota 2. @LockheedMartin has donated to Republicans like Andrew Clyde that haven't received support from any other corporate PACs.

Lockheed's donation came after Clyde likened the January 6 attack to a "normal tourist visit."

3. @LockheedMartin is donating to dozens of Republican objectors as its $1.6 trillion contract for the F-35 fleet is under attack

The program has been plagued by cost overruns and the aircraft's inability to perform tasked missions.

1. Over the last decade, public corporations have given Republicans a massive financial advantage in state politics

Cash from corporate treasuries was funneled through 527 groups, which are not subject to campaign finance limits

Let's dig into the data

popular.info/p/how-corporat…
2. There are six major 527s that dominate state politics.

Three GOP groups: @The_RGA, @RepublicanAGs, @RSLC

Three Dem groups: @DemGovs, @DemocraticAGs, @DLCC

Collectively these 6 have raised $1.69 billion over the last 5 election cycles (2009-2020)

popular.info/p/how-corporat…
3. The GOP groups, however, have raised far more than the Dem groups: $1.05 billion v. $632 million

Much of this discrepancy was created by public corporations.
