Having ADHD, losing your job, relocating from New York (can’t drive) to a residential neighborhood SoCal apartment with the only two people you know in the city during a global pandemic
(Public library branch in walking distance just reopened for in-person services and I’m trying not to run as I head there now. This feels like religious salvation.)
laugh cry
And now I shall turn off my phone, and read while I wait, with earplugs in, for salvation by the way of an extension cord delivery — and the glorious promise of concentration that’s finally so close I’m salivating.
Update: sitting inside the library and having the chance to work outside the house was all I could have hoped for and more.
It’s mind-blowing to realize how much COVID precautions and closures have impacted my ability to concentrate, regardless of other contingencies.
Wild.

“Matt Heimbach was a Neo Nazi, then wasn’t, but is again? Why are you even giving him attention?”
Stop.
The CVE community needs to learn from this heinous mistake ASAP because it was communicated in advance, is inexcusable, dangerous, and has done plenty of damage already.
I’ve watched ISIS behead my friends, Neo Nazis try (and fail) to murder me, and I’ll say it: no one should harm JK Rowling for her harmful, idiotic opinions.
That said —
“This [trans] movement” poses the HORRID risk of… my kid being treated like an EQUAL HUMAN BEING.
“Hundreds” of threats convince JK Rowling that “this [trans] movement” poses a risk to women (sexist AF btw; trans men exist).
Such an imaginative author, it’s damn pathetic she can’t dream up any empathy for…
… trans people literally just trying to survive every damn day.
