Does anyone remember when @Yelp used to list whether a business was a good Pokémon spot? If they can do that, surely they can start noting the vaccine policy of a business. How about you, @googlemaps?
I’m fully vaccinated, and I am NOT ready to take my mask off indoors unless I know everyone that can be vaccinated around me is, too. Our vaccine rate isn’t high enough, and Delta is a major concern.
*N.B.: I am happily visiting as many patios as my body can take right now.
Considering that in #Ontario, over 66% of those eligible are fully vaccinated, and I’m sure many like me share my concerns, a #vaccinecertificate is actually fantastic for business when looking at the numbers of potential patrons this would appeal to.
Of course, I’m only saying this because right now it seems we need private industry to make moves first. I’m hoping all levels of government will take the lead on #vaccinecertificates ASAP.
Vaccines work, but they take time to achieve full effect. 🧵
Just thought I’d share some real-life evidence of this. I have joined a couple of COVID antibody studies, so I’ve had the opportunity to track the presence of antibodies in my body overtime. Here’s what I learned: 1/7
First antibody test (mid 2020): NEGATIVE
That horrible cold I had at the end of February? Nope, not likely COVID. 2/7
Second antibody test (early 2021, one week after my first dose of Pfizer): NEGATIVE
Was I hoping it would be positive? Sure. But I wasn’t surprised - it was only my first dose and not even 10 days had past since I received it. 3/7
