They discovered that Mars’ crust is not as thick as it was once believed to be, and that it’s likely made of two or three layers. And while they can’t actually see the planetary center, the team was able to deduce the core is around 1,550 km from the surface. 2/4
“It's built from similar building blocks as our own planet, but Mars looks very different,” says University of Cambridge global seismologist Sanne Cottaar. 3/4
This and other breakthrough data could help answer age-old questions about the Red Planet, like why Mars’ magnetic field seemingly disappeared, or how its volcanic activity seems to have died.
Some of these tricks are ones you might know, but it can't hurt to add a few more to your arsenal. Master these and you can spend less time copy and pasting and more time planning out your next vacation: (THREAD) 1/9

If you've had your Gmail account for years, emails tend to add up. Clear out older emails by typing in "older_than:1y" into the search box at the top of Gmail to look for messages older than a year. You can change the number of years, or switch to months if you want. 2/
Once your selected emails appear, click the selection box above the list on the left to select all of them, then click the Select all conversations that match this search option. Simply click the Delete button to erase. 3/
