Seed oils (aka vegetable oils) and atherosclerosis leading to coronary heart disease

How could that work?

Let's take a look 👇
Oxidized LDL cholesterol is thought to play a critical role in formation of arterial plaques

Macrophages (white blood cells in the blood vessel wall) sense oxLDL, engulf it, leading to plaque formation

hindawi.com/journals/omcl/…
The oxidized fatty acid in oxLDL is mainly linoleic acid, the main component of seed oils

sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
A higher ratio of oleic (component of olive oil) to linoleic acid (seed oil) confers resistance of LDL to oxidation. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
Linoleic acid increases expression of oxLDL receptors in human aortic endothelial cells - the cells that line arteries diabetes.diabetesjournals.org/content/54/5/1…
Lowering dietary linoleic acid reduces bioactive oxidized linoleic acid metabolites in humans

"dietary LA may hold proximal control over the production and/or accumulation of OXLAMs in certain tissues"

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
LDL from obese patients with the metabolic syndrome show increased LDL oxidation and activate platelets

Platelet activation increases blood clotting

link.springer.com/article/10.100…
Conclusion: abundant evidence links linoleic acid from seed oils to atherosclerosis, and to coronary heart disease.

Ingestion of LA, and metabolic syndrome, increase LDL oxidation.

Niacin reduced mortality by 14% in men with metabolic syndrome.

That's great, but results would be far better if they got rid of metabolic syndrome.

Eliminating sugar, seed oils, and grains, and adding resistance training.

Metabolic syndrome raises all-cause mortality rates by 50 to 100%

Crap food + sedentary lifestyle -> metabolic syndrome.

Around half of Americans age 50 and up have it.

Diabetics make up 40% of COVID deaths in US

If this is true, the implications are staggering.

If most of these are type 2 diabetics, most Covid deaths were in people with an entirely preventable/reversible disease.

Dr. Roy Taylor, who has done groundbreaking work in diabetes reversal, and colleagues explain how type 2 diabetes can be reversed by weight loss and avoidance of weight regain

Low-carbohydrate diets should be the first-line treatment for diabetes, according to doctors who are leaders in this field

Type 2 diabetes shouldn't even exist.

Alcoholic liver injury is mediated by PAI-1, a blood clotting factor.

Linoleic acid, main fraction of seed oils, also increases PAI-1; this shows that seed oils might be doing the same thing to the liver as heavy drinking.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease patients had higher fructose intake and higher PAI-1.

My client Majed completely transformed his body composition in just 12 weeks: down 20 pounds and 4 inches around his waist.

Here’s his testimonial:

“I had a big belly even though I was working out 4-5 days/week

Truth is, I wasn’t sure that coaching would work
But clearly, PD’s advice was spot on

I went from 4-5 days a week training, to only 2 days a week

And I lost 4 inches off my waistline, my arms are bigger

And energy levels are fantastic"

If your #1 goal is to lose belly fat

Stop focusing on cardio
You can say, sure but I don’t want to be on a diet

Truth is, you don’t have to on a diet

You can eat delicious food, without counting calories

And STILL lose fat
Now, I don’t mean to make it sound like you’re going to get lean with zero effort

We both know that’s BS

But I’m here to tell you that it does NOT need to be insanely complicated, time consuming or a huge sacrifice
