The economy is in a very bad place with at least over 50% of people being below the poverty line and about 24% homeless population.
They cut off the internet in areas where people are protesting so that videos and evidence of them shooting people in day light won’t get out.
Currently the government of Iran (called the Islamic Republic or IR) is planning to restrict access to global internet and media FOREVER. If this happens we wont be able to access Twitter, Youtube, Google, or any other site. We won’t be able to communicate with the outside world.
People will protest more and more if this happens, and with no access to global internet, they will shoot and kill my people on the streets with no fear.
In 2019 they killed 1500 people for protesting and cut off the internet for 10 days. I don’t know how many more will die.
The IR is a dictatorship. Women and LGBTQ+ people are brutally killed here.
Girls can be forcefully married at the age of 9.
Gay sex is punishable by execution.
Iran is the only country with compulsory hijab. They just banned flannel here! This is nonsensical!
Our last hope of not becoming another North Korea is the outside world. You are our last hope. Please help spread this. The Iranian people are suffering under a brutal regime. Access to internet is a basic human right. Protesting without getting murdered is a basic human right!

imo there is a major difference between male and female socialization. and no, it’s not based on wether you were AFAB or AMAB.
both of these ideas, of how one should behave as a certain gender, are out there. we learn both of them, no matter what gender we are.
but it’s more complicated.
in order to be socialized as a male, you need to actively participate. you are expected to show an assertive masculinity, in an active process.
if you’re not a cis man, this “male socialization” won’t affect you the same way it affects a cis man.
for them, it’s something they actively take part in. they learn to imitate cis men around them. learn to use their masculinity (gender, not expression) to enforce their own words on people around them.
but people who aren’t cis men often can’t access that toxic masculinity.
