lg would never let lp step one foot into the kitchen while lp would rather dance the chacha for 2 hours than let lg anywhere near his precious wine collection

but as first timers become old timers, they start to see the things they miss when they first discovered this little gem of a restaurant

lg, while never letting lp into the kitchen, would always cook up some delicious smelling food (off the menu) for lp to have when’s there’s a lull in the dinner rush
at those times, he’d also temporarily come out of the kitchen to tend to the front, letting lp take a full break

no one questions why lp’s mood seems softer after he eats, nor the almost-too-fond look he sneaks towards the kitchen when he thinks lg isn’t watching

sometimes, the kitchen heat gets overwhelming and it all becomes too much for lg to handle
before things get out of hand, almost as if sensing lg’s distress, lp will quickly pull him aside to whisper soft words that no one else can hear no matter how hard they strain their ears

in those instances, lg would always stare at lp like he’s the only person in the world and everyone would avert their gaze bc it felt almost too private for them to continue snooping
that’s why, if a first timer was brave enough to ask the table next to theirs if lg and lp are always like That, bickering about every little thing, and why are they doing business together under such circumstances, they’d only get a knowing smile in response
