Now Hinshaw wants us to worry about the flu. Forget about covid. We’re going to be treating it like the flu, apparently. She says, “This will likely feel like a dramatic shift for many.” She understands that this makes people anxious. Awwwww!
They’re only going to test symptomatic people, and will not test asymptomatic close contacts. They will no longer legally require quarantining. Just a recommendation, you know. Wow. They’re doubling down on the ‘pandemic’s over’ thing.
As of Aug. 16, all masking orders will be lifted on mass transit and everywhere else. Just in time for school! Will not require masking in school, but they may have it ‘temporarily’ if there is a respiratory virus outbreak at a school.
No legal requirement to isolate as of Aug. 16 if you test positive and no recommendation to get tested if you have mild symptoms although you are recommended to stay home. After Aug. 31, testing ONLY for people with severe enough symptoms to need hospitalization.
Short version of Dr. Hinshaw’s ‘update’ today: “We said the pandemic is over, that’s our story and we’re sticking to it. We will make it as difficult as possible for people to find out if they have covid so we don’t look like the liars we are.”
Okay. I have tried to give her the benefit of the doubt in the past. But she is the worst. A total UCP puppet.
