Jordan Peterson & Ben Shapiro etc keep denying the gender pay gap saying women are naturally drawn / suited to lower paid roles. e.g maternity...(see tweet 3)
But they never complete that thought: That it's acceptable for women to generally have less financial power than men.
I just watched this video where Shapiro argues that maternity is such a blessing that women should chose it over a job.
Weird how that's not coupled with any sort of plan to rebalance the economy in favour of mothers: "You mothers are heroes but you don't deserve actual money!"
Not only do these people ignore the fact they're part of the very propaganda that deprives women of access to higher paid jobs... But they praise lower paid roles which are essential to the functioning of society but have no intention of paying the real value of that labour.
Fortunately, we don't have any Handmaid's Tale types like @benshapiro and Peterson in the mainstream UK media, but given that the gender pay gap (difference in average salary between genders) exists... clearly those kind of attitudes are simply going unstated.
Actually... my boss when I was 23 did once state it, when I was alone with him.
He bluntly said there were too many strong-willed women in the office before, and that he'd succeeded in thinning their numbers. He also complained about them going off and "having bleeding babies".
Full Disclosure:
I can only apologise that I didn't speak out against that boss. By way of explanation, not excuse, I was a temp worker and I was alone with the commercial director of the company so it would have been my word against his.
Ben Shapiro's narrative just annoyed me.

The main Covid strain in the UK is the one that came from India in April.
Boris Johnson's experts told him to put the strictest border controls on all countries in JANUARY.
So ALL the problems we're facing now are because Boris Johnson had 'had enough of experts'.
My screen-recorder accidentally recorded the webcam microphone audio while getting the clip of the speech.
See if you can spot (listen out for) the moment I realised that Boris Johnson's plan was to install Tory puppets across the country in the name of "regional devolution".
Boris Johnson says the problem in Africa is that we're not in charge anymore...
Priti Patel says taking a knee is wrong...
They produce a Race Report that talks about the benefits of slavery...
Then act like they're fighting racism along with us.
I no longer have any problem calling all 357 Tory MPs fascists because...
Fascism involves the forceful suppression of opposition and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM just voted for police to arrest protesters who shout too loudly. #PoliceCrackdownBill#PolicingBill
Tory MP David Davis said the #PoliceCrackdownBill "actually does pose a grave threat to the fundamental right of protest" then voted for it!
Tory MP Jonathan Djanogly said the #PolicingBill would "reduce public safety" by encouraging the police to use force against peaceful protesters... THEN VOTED FOR IT!
I'm watching Parliament discuss the #PolicingBill.
Thread:
MP @HarrietHarman calls for curb-crawling (form of sexual harassment) to be made into a specific offence, with the potential penalty of losing one's driver's license. #PolicingBill
Shadow Home Office Minister @LabourSJ is an absolute rockstar on this.
And demands removal of the clauses which criminalise being #NoisyAndAnnoying at protests.
