Sydney Pickrem, re: the pressure: "I was absolutely shitting myself."

NO POOPING IN THE POOL.

But congrats on the bronze!
Honestly, those four women are a delight to root for.
Those four women are a delight to cheer for.

Maybe the IOC should concern itself with things that matter, like what McKayla Maroney has been tweeting today.

Get "in contact" with the USOPC about that.
In the @30for30 series about the Karolyis and USAG, there is an episode that explores the Sydney Games, and members of that women's gymnastic team talk about being cut off from everyone and isolated, housed outside the Village in a Ranch-like "prison," starved and overtrained.
How many American gymnasts and former Olympians live with the damage caused by what was permitted by the USOPC and USAG over the years?

A whole lot more than anyone realizes.

There's something about these Games, I tell you. In various sports, in small but not insignificant aspects, things are different in a positive way.
Buried in the negative replies to Chris Chavez' tweet was this gem: spikes.worldathletics.org/post/gianmarco…
Amazing.

Rather than media outlets rehashing various angles about Simone Biles, maybe spend some time elevating the profiles of other gymnasts involved in the Games.
That vault tho... 💯

When and how does one get out of such a mindset?

Will this poor man ever be able to properly engage with society?

It's quite tragic.

Well, he deleted that pretty fast!

In conclusion: Always screenshot.
To be clear: People can date (and marry!) whoever they want.

It's the shadiness about that relationship on the part of The Sun and Lilley (given the work he does) that's the issue.

Perhaps Furey could have looked in house to find a pretty significant (and unreported) conflict of interest:
<narrator's voice>

He was not, in fact, better than that.
If this were, say, a Star columnist and Wynne's press secretary, I'm quite certain Lilley and his like-minded colleagues would have demanded some sort of disclosure. canadaland.com/brian-lilley-i…
