If you're not a developer it's hard to see why @Polkadot has an insane advantage over every other blockchain.

I believe $DOT and $KSM are going to be the Nr. 1 blockchains in the future.

Here's why 👇🧵

(hint: it's because ecosystem and dev tools)
Building something as complex as $DOT takes some very bright minds. The more you can get, the better.

In one interview @gavofyork said that building @ethereum took 3 developers 2 weeks, but building @Polkadot took 50 experts 3 years.
#Blockchains are one of the most exciting technologies in our lifetime (believe it or not, they will change the world).

However, there is a good amount of Layer 1 chains.

Tricky part:
As a dev, you need to choose where to build on. (in most cases)
But which Layer 1 chain will you choose to build on?

Naturally, you'll go with the one that is the easiest to build on.

Devs are lazy.
Instead of choosing vanilla JavaScript, you probably want to use React.

And why not? It makes your job as a developer much easier. 🙌
@Polkadot's @substrate_io framework is like React in a way.

It gives you the basic building blocks for creating your very own blockchain.

A simple chain takes no more than 10 minutes (!) to build.
These building blocks include a shared security model, interchain connectivity, governance, and fork-free upgrades to name a few.

Remember, it took 50 experts 3 years to build that. It would be foolish to think you can replicate that easily.
Imagine some ambitious devs wanting to build the next big #crypto #startup.

They will look at $ETH, $ADA, and some bunch of other L1s until they conclude that $DOT is by far the easiest and fastest to build on.
@substrate_io is so crazily good that you are basically left with no other choice than to build with it.
On top of that, the @Polkadot and @kusamanetwork communities are extremely helpful and open-minded, unlike anything I've seen in crypto.

It's no mistake that high-tier founders like @bettechentt @ruitao_su @danreecer_ @logansaether @ingoruebe build on DOT.
Now, this becomes very interesting from a startup perspective:

Given that it took DOT such a long time and insane effort to get where it is today + it has one of the best communities.

It will be absolutely impossible to replicate this by competitors.
It's no wonder that VCs like @PanteraCapital @polychaincap @okex_ventures @exnetworkcap @coinbase invest heavily in DOT-based projects.
In conclusion:

Right now, the issue isn't money or technological limitations. It's manpower.

The team behind DOT and especially @gavofyork @jutta_steiner know that and have built a beautiful framework + community to solve that.
If you've made it this far here are some key DOT projects and people you should follow:

people
@gavofyork @jutta_steiner @bettechentt @ruitao_su @danreecer_ @DonnieBigBags @XiliangChen

projects
@AcalaNetwork @MoonbeamNetwork @Kiltprotocol @robonomics @ZeitgeistPM @centrifuge
Got questions? Want to know more about DOT, devs, startups, and the future?

Then kindly leave some feedback! :)
