#AFG constant gunfire for over 5 minutes. At least one explosion heard.
From Qalay Fatullah I could hear them.
Constant gunfire and explosions in a Kabul neighborhood in central part of Kabul.
More than 1 hour, a bursts of gunfire, sometimes constant, sometimes sporadic with explosions in the middle of a residential neighborhood. One of the many “ NEW NORMALS”

7:54 PM Kabul That was a loud bang in Kabul. Shook my home. Explosion followed by gunfire.
Powerful explosion took place in Shirpooar area, also home to senior Afghan officials including Afghanistan’s defense minister Bismillah Khan.
“A suicide attack took place in-front of the home of Afghanistan’s defense minister.” PD10 Kabul police sources.

#AFG “Last night rockets landed in Kandahar airport damaging the runway. We are working to fix the runway, flights will resume after we have our runway back.” An official with civil aviation at the Kandahar airport tells me.
Sporadic gunfire around Kandahar prison. Fighting continued last night around many police stations and in and around Daaand district that shares a border with Kandahar city, residents and officials tells me.
“ We can’t sleep during the night or day. Sound of explosions, heavy weapons is disturbing. ANDSF is firing the artillery from inside the city of Kandahar, children are scared.” Multiple Kandahar residents tells me.

#AFG Iranian forced deployed along the border with Nimroz, Farah and Herat provinces. @AhmadQasani shared this video of Iranian forces deploying artillery in the border regions with Afghanistan in Western Afghanistan.

#AFG Taliban fighters are in Mirwais Mina in PD7, Kandahar city. And heavy fighting reported closer to the Sarpoza jail that also houses important Taliban commanders and fighters.
Several informed sources tell me that important Taliban prisoners and commanders have been moved from the Sarpoza prison.Heavy Fighting nearby in Qari Bagh,in Arghandab district.ANDSF and Taliban fighting has intensified over the last few days both inside parts of city& district
According to multiple sources in Kandahar, Third battalion for third border brigade surrendered in Spin Boldak — 160 fighters with weapons and vehicles - a stronghold of the Achakzai tribe and the home of former police chief of Kandahar General Raziq.

#AFG Taliban fighters blew up this ANDSF post in Guzra district, Herat province.
Over the last 24 hours the districts Ghoryan, Farsi, Zinda Jaaan, Kohsaan, Pakhtoon Zarghoon, Chasht , Oabay,Kashkay Kohnaaa, Parts of Shindad district fell to the Taliban - other parts contested and Gulraaan district under siege.
Fighting reported between ANDSF and Taliban.
