Daily Excrement : "Brexiteers tear apart 'petty' EU's anti-Brexit plot to slap visa fees on UK travellers!!!!"

This really does p*** me off.

#ETIAS

Firstly, I've been saying this would happen since the Brexit sh!t show but accused of "project fear" and "scaremongery"

Some countries already need to apply for a visa to enter to the Schengen area. During the Brexit negotiations, the visa application was waived for the UK.

But we knew ETIAS was coming, it was approved for development in Nov 2016

+ The EU isn't "punishing Britons" FFS. The ETIAS applies to everyone outside the EU, not just the UK

The US, Canada, Australia and NZ already have an electronic visa system

Talking of ventilators, remember these at the beginning of the pandemic:

* UK company MEC Medical - 500 ventilators, ignored
* UK company Direct Access - 5,000 ventilators, ignored
* British director of UAE company Topland - 15,000 ventilators, ignored

1/
* Worcester based G-Tech - a vacuum manufacturer - told to stand down
* EU emergency bulk buy initiative, ignored because it would interfere with Brexit

UK ministers under fire over ventilator delays

Suppliers say offers were ignored while EU says Britain knew of joint procurement plan

Sound familiar?

This article recalls interviews with 10 German men in a German town shortly after the war.

Just to add to this, this is the full version of "Don't be a Sucker" - an anti-Nazi US public information film.

In the middle is this bit:

"But the man who was really being fooled was Hans. ... To him they promised everything, and he fell for it"

I'd also recommend watching "Rise of the Nazis"

There are plenty of documentaries about WW2 but not many about how Hitler came to power. There are a lot of parallels.
